“Great Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

It was late in the evening and we weren't going to make it to our destination and we quite literally stumbled on this awesome town and drove through to the old walled section of the city. The hotel was open with indoor and outdoor dining. While we were eating we decided to stay the night since the car did not have GPS and it was quite late. They were very nice and extremely accommodating. There was no more parking available on the street and they directed us to the parking garage and advised they would provide a token for the garage when we left. We had a great meal then retired to the room. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The room rate also included the breakfast buffet which was quite good. On the way back from Wilhelmsdorf we stayed another night and wandered through the town, fed the ducks in the canals and headed back to Munich. Really enjoyable!

This is a great little unassuming hotel that has fabulous food and a long history. The architecture inside and out is wonderful. Right in the middle of town and close to shops and restaurants...best thing is - it's reasonably priced. The hotel has been recently updated....

After driving all day from Berlin we were really happy to arrive at this lovely hotel. Very clean with touches of art throughout. The breakfast was extensive and the wait staff was pleasant. Secure parking across the street. Nice patio tables with large umbrellas on the sidewalk. Our room faced the street but it was quiet. We could have easily relaxed here for a couple more days. The town is so darn cute. There's a bakery, toy shop, candy shop, book store, soccer shop and nice restaurants.

Not only is this hotel close to the train station but it is also nicely located close to the cultural centre of town as well. The hotel has apparently been in the family for a number of generations and it really shows with the owner's attention to detail. The room we stayed in has been very recently updated and we are told that a certain number of rooms are updated each year to keep them current. It is also probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever experienced.
Ordinarily I do not recommend a hotel's restaurant but this is an exception. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal in a very nice setting.
We will certainly stay here again when we return to the area and I have no hesitation recommending this hotel to others. The personal touch is a refreshing change from the large chain hotels.
Also, the free wifi works very well.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's proud of it's history (used to be a brewery) and it offers a great, high quality, service. The room felt up to date and clean with the only slight minor being a window overlooking some bleak looking rooftops and other windows but there's nothing to help that matter. The room could also have done with some air con or a fan as it was a rather hot evening. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic with a great range of food on offer.

What to say more about Weisses Ross? It's a very good one, five minutes by foot to the rail station, in a quiet area and one minut to Moritz, a very popular restaurant in town with good food and drinks.

I will definitely stay at the Weisses Ross again. Exceptionally friendly staff and excellent food which was a treat after a long drive (scenic route) drive from Italy. We stayed for one night with family 3 adults and 2 children in two rooms. Very reasonable price for hotel of this quality and character. Great location with car park adjacent to hotel
