This guesthouse was an absolute delight! We enjoyed it so much that we stayed here on both ends of our trip from Germany to the Czech Republic. It is tucked away on the edge of Erding and only a few minutes away from the phenomenal, and humongous spa complex that is Therme Erding. The staff at the guesthouse were very pleasant and polite. The entire house was festooned with fresh Christmas garlands, ornaments and other holiday decorations. The rooms were designed simply in a classic country style with a unique color theme for every room and had almost all the amenities you could need. The two separate rooms we reserved had small kitchenettes and great little seating areas. Although the queen/double beds were two single beds pushed together in European style, we had no issues. The linens were very comfortable and complete with fluffy down comforters.
Breakfast is served every morning in their beautiful breakfast rooms. Everything was fresh and the food was fantastic. The croissants tasted as if they were just pulled from the oven, and the tomatoes and cucumber were perfectly ripe like they were picked from the gardens outside. There were plenty of soft and hard cheeses to with a selection of other deli meats and smoked salmon. There are several types of fruit juice to choose from along with coffee or tea. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our day.
The guesthouse is a little out of the way, but we found it easily with the GPS and there were plenty of signs in the area to guide you in. There is parking in front of the guesthouse and, if you arrive late, you get a key/keycode that will allow you to retrieve your key from an automated lockbox near the rear of the house – pretty ingenious! There was a delightful terrace and plenty of space for kids to play if you didn't want to leave this little paradise. We briefly stopped in the town center and found plenty of little shops and other recreation possibilities. This is the perfect place to stay if you have an early morning arrival or departure from Munich International Airport. It's only 10 or 15 minutes away from the terminal, but it feels like a completely separate world. It's a great, relaxing alternative to heading into Munich, which is almost 45 minutes from the airport by comparison.
We loved this guesthouse, and it will be where we stay going in our out of Munich from now on. It was a pleasure to stay with them and we would recommend it to anyone.
