THis is mecca for all you alpine hiking enthusiasts. the hotel is within a very easy drive of a whole bunch of circa 2000 m German and Austrian peaks, at the outset of the alps. You can do a week of day hiking here and be shocked at how fast the time went by. The rooms are beautfiul here, the spa is super deluxe- including the crazy excellent mechanical rock dipping steam sauna- you must not miss that. THe food is excellent. Breakfast lunch dinner and snacks are all really first rate quality. THey have a hikers package thing where you get lift tickets up all the gondolas, and they lendy you a good rucksack and bags so you can wrap up a big load of meats and cheeses and fruits and pastries and all that at brekkies and take it with you for a lovely picnic on a peak somewhere. and since this is germany- when you get to that peak and picnic- you will be able to buy a huge delicious cold beer for a fair price to wash that lunch down. I really had a terrific time here. very very friendly staff, really a good experience.
