“Dinners at the terrace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Have to say that the quality of this restaurant was a big suprise for us. And especially have mentioned staff who served at terrace... Thank you. Food was very good and wine as well. I'm looking for next time when we become to Goslar... Is it still the same howwethink it now. Sometmes the memories are little ... Only thing what harm a little bit are the singers performance at the. Markt... They really cant sign or pöay their instruments and hearing it was :(

“A wonderful surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We were fortunate to have been recommended to stay here. On our way to Cologne we had lunch at Weite Welt and asked the waiting staff where was the best hotel to stay at. We thank her for her recommendation.

This is a first-class, superb hotel, our room overlooked the square and we were wakened by the Glockenspiel, a clock tower where a procession of mechanical figures re-enact the history of Goslar .

The staff are very friendly, courteous and look so elegant in their uniforms. Dinner in the magnificent restaurant was equal if not better than many 2-3 hat restaurants - and at a fraction of the price.

We will be back again - this time we will stay longer to enjoy what Goslar and the Hartz Mountains have to offer.

“So-so Food, a Bit Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

This is a restaurant with nice ambience. Service was very friendly, though a key question (how would you like your beef to be done?) was missed.

The food was average fare for this kind of restaurant. The Wiener Schnitzel was veal, as it should be, but the meat was too thick and the breading, not fluffy enough. The chateaubriand was too rare and not particularly tasty. The cress foam soup was fine but a tad salty. Ordering German red wine by the glass was a mistake (there are nice German reds, but not that many, and the ones we had were not among them).

We paid about 40 euros per person.
