We loved our stay at this hotel. Great short wak to the city center. The hotel sits on the river and our room was very large with a 3rd bed for our son. All the furnishings were very new and modern but it was disappointing that there was not free WIFI in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel. For being so modern you would think that would be available. Breakfast was very good. The vending machines with the beer in it just cracked us up but it did come in handy. The staff was very friendly. The hotel seemed empty but it maybe due to the holiday weekend (Good Friday) I would highly recommend this hotel. I also recommend that you walk to the area where all the vendors (market) is and stop by the Crepe truck. YUMMY. Best Crepes ever and the woman making them was very friendly. A great treat! The hotel did charge for parking in their underground garage.

I attended a conference here. The conference facilities and meals were excellent. The location is amazing, right on the river and convenient to the city's many beautiful sights, and the staff were quite helpful. I was very disappointed, however, at the lack of WiFi in the rooms. There was a hot spot in the lobby but it was very expensive. Bring electronics that can handle an Ethernet connection (which I believe was free).

This modern hotel, together with Convention Centre is located behind Bamberg Symphony Hall, overlooking the river in a quiet location, yet only 15-20 mins walk along the river into the old town centre. Medium sized rooms with modern simple fittings, good bathroom (walk in shower) and basic Air Conditioning. Small TV. Not much room for storing clothes however, no drawer space! Free digital locking safe in the room.
Breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choice - plenty of seats, though could be busy if hotel has conference party etc. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, room was kept clean and tidy. We would definately stay here again. It is some distance from the Rail Station, but bus 906 passes the Hotel from Bus Station (ZOB) so if carry luggage it is possible to get a bus from Bahnhof to ZOB and then bus 906 to right outside the Hotel (one stop after the Concert Hall) Hotel does have an adjacent Restaurant should you need one, but so many places you can eat in the old town centre.
Rooms do have wired LAN connection to RJ45 socket for Laptops etc but NOT wireless LAN.

Our rooms were the usual two single beds pushed together, small T.V on a desk, wardrobe closets and a nice size glassed-in shower. The room is "green" in that you must put your room key card in a slot just inside the door to turn on the lights. Parking was underground right there at the hotel with in and out privileges for about 8 Euros per 24 hours. Breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs & bacon one day and scrambled eggs and broiled tomatoes the next plus the cheeses, breads, fruit and yogurt. My adult son got a kick out of the beer in the vending machine that was the same price as pop.
For internet access if you didn't bring a laptop, ask for a key to the "business center" which is a small room with a desk and computer.
Town is 15 minute walk along the river, over a bridge and a picturesque walk along the other side of the river. Bamberg was one of the few towns in Germany that was not damaged in WWII and is lovely.
