“A look at the Rhine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Fish from the start of the Rhine, Bodensee, all the way to Rotterdam harbour and Northsee are put in a very nice exhibition. There's also a very nice pinquin area.

“Good rainy day activity. Good for younger children”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We had a voucher which gave us one free adult and €5 off children, which made a big difference to the entry cost. A family of 4 including a €4 guide book came to €25 which seemed very reasonable (this included the voucher).

The place was pretty busy, which meant at times there was a wait for exhibits, but nothing too outrageous. The place has a few nice touches - the ice wall, the tunnel through the big tank so there are fish all around you, the jellyfish tanks and the penguins are great fun.

The restaurant underneath is pretty reasonable - adequate food, and not too much of a wait for food. On non-rainy days, I suspect it has a great view over the lake also!

It is a great rainy day activity - nothing spectacular, but a good way to spend an hour or so. It isn't huge, so small children stay interested the whole way round. Just try and get a voucher to limit the cost.

“Expensive for what you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We went there with our children - the entrance fees are very expensive! There were some nice parts but we were through it in a flash! There's some interesting jellyfish tanks, some sharks and penguins. Nice but not worth going out of your way to visit.

“Small, overcrowded, loud, expensive”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

The Sea Life is marketing itself as one of the greatest attractions in Konstanz. Glossy brochures and billboards lead you to believe that you are going to expect something like SeaWorld. New Building Grand entrance, but there we go, no parking. Instead we parked in the overcrowded car park at the shopping centre across the railroads. Took us 45 minutes to park, nice. Another 30 minutes for standing in line in front of Sea Life. But no staff comes outside. People are jumping rows which annoys others. Then 15 EUR entrance and they try to sell you a brochure for 3.50 and a photo for 7 EUR. Only one pay desk open. But 5 staff hanging around doing nothing. There you go. And then comes "the big attraction". You are lead through a dark, tight and overheated and overcrowded tunnel. And you can't really take your time and look because people are waiting to watch and then you can not wait, because then you are blocking the pathway. And then you can’t even rush through because others are blocking the pathway. Oh and then comes a big "hall" where a student shouts trivia through a megaphone, hold you applause. The next big thing is the tunnel with the sharks, also overcrowded. And then comes the penguins. And the clever guys from Sea Life are cooling the visitors zone (behind the glass, o.k.) also, believing that you want to freeze like a penguin. And that’s it 20 min. through. Oh I forgot something. The gift shop. As big as the whole place. It seems preposterous to buy something when you have just been deceived. Oh and also the gourmet restaurant. French fries and chicken nuggets. But other than in Mc Donald’s the staff forgets the cleaning. Never again. And thank you all you dreamers who find it just phantastic, you must be kidding.

“Fun on a rainy day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Although it was a bit too crowded for our liking, the time spent here was well worth it. Be sure to take you time as there is much to see -- don't let the crowds rush you. Our favorites were the jelly fish and the sting rays.
