“quiet hotel nice staffs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

The staffs were nice, the hotel itself is decent and meet the novotel standard. The hotel is in Neuss, a small town not far from Dusseldorf.
Koln is too crowded and expensive during exhibition. I'm glad I chose this hotel over other options. It's a 20 minutes drive to koln messe.

I was here on a business trip and that is probably the only reason I would be back here.
Long and dark hallways that could do with a new carpet. Expensive internet in an average room.
Good point of the hotel is the bar, that looks modernbut also there is a downside; the price of a drink, which is much higher than the pubs in city centre.
So when arrived, take a taxi to "Altstad" and visit a local restaurant or pub there and only use this hotel for a night sleep, but it is quite expensive for just that,

When quality is compared to the price I paid, the balance certainly swings to the negative side.

Best points: friendly staff and the breakfast buffet

The hotel was nice, with a very good quality restaurant. Room was very modern, reasonably comfortable and staff were friendly. Parking was a bit expensive, but was indoor. Annoyingly I had to go back to reception on two occasions because the automatic barrier didn't lift.

Clean, comfortable hotel with a fine restaurant and bar situated at the Neuss-Rosengarten.The city-centre of Düsseldorf is only 15' by tramway (stops in front of the hotel). Extreme nice and friendly staff in the entire hotel.

This is a typical Novotel property and there is nothing about it that screams luxury or fun-filled fashion, but it is clean, quiet and comfortable. Although as an American who loves her nightly bath time ritual, I will never understand the weird half-door glass shower configuration (which results in the floor becoming its own bath tub after even the quickest shower) and the lack of wash cloths and the thin, flimsy towels, the rooms are otherwise satisfactory. I was pleased to discover I could actually open my windows and fell asleep to an afternoon rain shower. What is best about this hotel is the lovely gardens just outside the doors by the beer garden, and the easy strolling distance to old town Neuss. The service both at the front desk and the restaurant are fine, no complaints and of course, in true German fashion, I could not find a speck of dust in my room -- "uber" clean. Overall, I wasn't wowed by my experience here, but I was comfortable and immensely enjoyed the surroundings. I would recommend this hotel for a stress-free hotel experience.

This hotel is now part of the Novotel group and the standard is typical of German hotels. Resturant/Breakfast room are clean & good quality menu if a little "standard". Bar area is plasticy with little atmosphere, needs more soft furnishing. Good access to old town Neuss, 5 min walk gets you into good bars/resturants.

Room Tip: All rooms are good as hotel is in its own grounds

created for airline crews, it's rather unpractical for visiting Düsseldorf. Standard Novotel quality
