“Pure history underneath every stone you step on”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Wow! I've just came from the Mine, almost 2 weeks after visiting the Guido mine in Zabrze and it's hard to choose the more interesting one! All the corridors in the Silver mine were absolutely amazing, so narrow and low, showing the effort that every miner had to put looking for the silver.
We also went for a short boat-trip in an underground lake, what a delightful sight!

“Nice and very interesting place to go”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Me and my friends went to Poland for 9 commando marathon that is takin place every November in lubliniec city. On one day we decide to visit silver mine. Tickets cost 31zloty or 33 with tour man who speaks in many languages. Make sure that you go there before 3pm as last trip is at 3. It will take approximate 1,5 hrs to walk whole area just over 1mile. 300 metres you will go on small boats. Make sure you wear your helmets as you will bang your head constantly. Before you start your trip you can go to restaurant that serves traditional meal of Silesia region. It's cheap and very tasty. There is also some shops that's sells suvenirs but for some reasons the closed on Sunday.

“Going underground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

First of all: I'm only rating this attraction 4 stars not 5 (Heritage Silver Mine) because of confusing ticketing system in this place, the mine itself is absolutely top thing in this region. The tour starts overground with a little open air exhibition of steam engines that used to work in all sorts of mines. This part is free of charge and is rather small, but will appeal to young explorers. Some of the locos on display show poor state... The second part of tour takes you underground, and for this experience you have to pay, the question is: how much. The price of a single ticket depends on a number of people in the group, so no problem, if you are comming with a large number of people in your party. But if you are an individual tourist you're in trouble, as there is a charge for the guide, which is split on all participants, so the more visitors in group, the price is smaller. But because of that there always are delays at the start, as the museum staff tries to get as many people in each group going underground, as poss, so given time for the set off is always delayed, sometimes much... But it's worth waiting for. It starts with multimedia show in former mine offices, then you put your hard hat on, and off you go on the lift, deep below. At first you walk along the corridors, narrow and very low in places, than you take a boat on the way back. As a little supplement to this mine, not far off, there is a place called "Sztolnia Czarnego Pstrąga", which is another part of the same underground channel found in "Zabytkowa Kopalnia Srebra". You got to drive (or walk few kilometers) to park in Repty, then you go to the one of the shaft (information on which one is to go down, which to go up is always on the gates), go down on spiral staircase for about 40 meters, then go abroad a little boat. Really worth trying, both of the underground experiences!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

This is the remaining old mine where silver and lead were once dug - nowadays you may visit the place and hear the history of the place. Wearing helmet you go down in a miners' lift and walk along the old mine's passages. It makes impression :) and is well worth seeing
