“Modern Hotel, a bit apart from Geneva"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

The NH Hotel is near (but not real near) the Geneva Airport. The shuttle ride is about 15 mins. The hotel is a circular building and seems off by itself. The rooms are a bit small but are very modern and clean. We found the breakfast buffet to be excellent. We really appreciated the free pass to the Geneva tram network. We used this extensively, even though we were only in Geneva for one night. This really compensates for the distance from the central city. One can have the best of both, a quiet location but easy access to central Geneva. The free internet in the lobby was also appreciated as we were able to check in for our flights the next day. The shuttle driver even fetched a luggage cart at the airport for us when we departed. No complaints about service. Would highly recommend and visit again.

This hotel was pretty nice overall. I was able to receive a shuttle ride from the airport to the hotel as soon as my plane landed, which was pretty nice considering I had a HUGE suitcase. It was no Ritz Carlton but the staff was nice and somewhat attentive (not throroughly, I must say). They had a beautiful buffet for breakfast that was so tempting however I was not going to fork out $20+ bucks for it. The food in the hotel was rather expensive but you have to expect it: 1. Food in hotels is always overpriced and 2. Geneva is one of the most expensive places in the world so if you are traveling here price should not really be an issue for you, provided that you've already done your homework.

The rooms were nicely equipped with a flat screen TV, elegantly clean showers, and I had a magnificent view. The only drawback was that, like most hotel airports, it was not really near the happening area(s). BUT the hotel gives you a free metro card for the duration of your stay and you can travel all around Geneva with it for free.
They also have free wifi downstairs.
I only stayed here for 2 nights so for that short amount of time this place was convenient and exactly what I needed (and less than $100 a night on priceline), If you're looking for a hotel that is in the middle of all the action, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! But, if you don't mind being a little further away and you prefer to be near the airport I highly recommend lodging here!
*Oh yeah, one of my favorite things about the hotels was the names of the floors. They were all named after famous music composers! I stayed on the floor named Rossini and I beleive there was a floor named Verdi, and so on- just a side note! lol

Close to the airport!!

Rooms are nice but, a little smaller.

Only complaint is the Internet, there is a charge for room Internet which is way too high. Free Internet in the lobby which is crowded because of people wanting free internet.

You would think the hotel would realize the issue and take measures to make a more pleasing lobby atmosphere which is not crowded.

Functional airport hotel - if you want a double room make sure to specify it clearly when you reserve as it seems their default setting is to allocate a twin room

This is a lovely 4 star hotel in Geneva and would highly recommend it. We only had to wait 5 mins for the shuttle bus from airport which is a free service. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We asked for extra pillows and towels and all arrived to our room straight away. There is free wifi in the loby and 3 PCs in the loby for use (where I am writing this just now before heading to airport!) We were just here for two nights and would come again if out this way. WE got given free travel cards for the public transport. There is a tram about 5 mins walk from hotel which was excilent. The whole tram service was amazing. They came so regularly and went all over the city. This hotel is near airport and about 15mins on tram from city but that was not a problem at all. WE didnt eat here as breakfast was 30CHF each which was steep but a local garage service fine for a pan au chocolate and coffee in the mornings!!
Over all great stay, good price for a lovely hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for two days while we waited for flights back home. I had suffered a shattered leg and was on crutches. The front desk were unfailingly polite and helpful. They accomodated us at a room closest to the lobby and allowed us use of the employee elevator to avoid the stairs. The staff responded promptly when we requested extra pillows, towels etc. When we had some issues dialing internationally a gentlemen from the front desk even came to our room to dial the call! The meals at the hotel are certainly expensive but in our case being bound by my injury they were a good choice. The breakfast buffet spread is steep at 30 CHF/person but very substantial. I am not sure what anyone would find missing from their spread. Hot dishes, muesli, juices, cold cuts, cheese, coffee etc etc A local tip here: There is a Migros grocery store (Migros Meyrin) literally a 2 minute cab ride away that has just about anything including restaurants, deli etc.
We could not take advantage of the free daily Geneva transport pass provided by the hotel due to my injuries but certainly available to all guests.
An excellent hotel with very polite and helpful staff!
