“Lovely local”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

I know the Inverkip Hotel well, it's a real hub of the community, whilst still welcoming to all comers. Serves value for money and excellent tasting pub food, as well as a more sophisticated restaurant menu, also good value. Hotel and bar staff are cheerful, friendly and welcoming. Inverkip is a lovely village, with a real community feel. The Kip Marina and village is stunning and well worth the view for anyone visiting the west coast of Scotland.

We were staying at a B&B nearby and they recommended this family run hotel as somewhere they ate. The food was good and wholesome and the serving staff and manager were very helpful. This is a cut above standard pub grub!

We've eaten here many a time, and it's always excellent food and good value too.

The menu ranges from pub grub to more upmarket, and the range available means there's something for everyone's tastes (and budget). They also do excellent lunch snacks.

The service can sometimes be slow, but that's only ever because it's really busy.

Would definitely recommend you give it a go.

Stayed one night B&B, genuine warm and helpful greeting on arrival, room clean and comfortable if dated decor, breakfast plentiful and fresh, only used the bar in the evening ,good real ale and generous whisky measures. My first time over the border ,will return for the scenery and would stay here again

The hotel Management and Staff provided excellent service to make this a splendid evening. The food was very good as it usually is and the variety gave good choice to everyone. We were served in the Rogues Room upstairs and this was ideal for a family celebration. Table was set out for the birthday cake and we were allowed some balloons and photographs to decorate the venue.

Excellent value for money and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel.

Room Tip: Did not stay in the hotel as we live close by.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

My family and I recently had a Sunday lunch at the Inverkip Hotel, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the surroundings were comfortable and the food was lovely. However my one and only gripe was the price of soft drinks, as my wife was driving she ordered a soda water and lime which cost an unbelievable £1.95. I think the management have scored a big own goal in their pricing of soft drinks.

Didn't stay in the hotel but had a meal in the restaurant. Good, hearty pub-style food, generous portions and relaxing surroundings. Service was good at the start but then it seemed that the staff couldn't be bothered anymore even though it wasn't busy at all. Servers stopped coming round and just stood chatting at the bar. Had to go up to them and ask for the bill, then had to go up to them again to ask if we could pay the bill. Poor show, otherwise they would have got 4 stars.
