We loved our visit here. The hotel is beautifully positioned by a sandy beach with wonderful views across the bay to Alghero, but it is very easy to get to and only five minutes from the airport.
We had a balcony that faced directly out to the sea - just wonderful. Lunch on the terrace and the enormous fixed-price dinner were both very good, though we found the maitre d' both cocky and uncaring. Other staff were all great.
Some quaint old-fashioned policies are in operation and make life complicated, like the curious system for charging drinks and meals to an in-house card that you have to pre-load - why not just swipe my credit card? Getting wifi codes is unnecessarily complicated, and having to wave your arms to make the corridor lights come on is surely outdated!
But we'd go back any time. The only serious downer is the smell from the beach, which is disgusting and put me off my lunch on the terrace. The staff said it's a natural phenomenon called Posidonia but truly it stinks like bad drains.
