“Cape Kidnappers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Two great experiences both by tractor and bus. The tractor goes round the bay which timing is dependant on tides. After leaving the tractor there is a very pleasant walk up the hill to view the gannets which is amazing.
The bus takes one overland near Cape Kidnappers golf course and the driver is most informative, especially as there is a project to save endangered species of wild life. Would definitely recommend one or both trips as they both culminate in seeing the gannets.

“Cape Kidnappers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

A great place to visit especially doing the tractor trip along the beach. It's a great experience sitting on a trailer pulled by a tractor which weaves among the rocky shore as it chugs along the beach to the Cape where you then get off the trailer and walk up a track for 15 minutes to see all the gannets nesting. On your return the tide is coming in and the water splashes against your legs - it's a fun trip for all ages!

“Must Do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

There are two ways to see the gannets along the beach front or overland. The beach option by tractor and trailer has the disadvantage of being tide dependent and is probably best suited to the young and young at heart, there is a stiff climb at the end.Overland with Gannet Safaris is by four wheel drive bus or you can arrange a private tour by landrover. Which ever way you choose the experience is extraordinary and the photo options are amazing. Without a word of a lie you can be as close as a metre from the birds.

“Go by tractor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

There's a number of different ways to get to the Cape but by far the best is by the tour that runs the tractor along the beach. Great 1/2 day tour but the timings vary because of the tides.

If you don't want to take one of the tours you can walk to the Cape along the beach from the old Clifton Motor Camp but be careful you don't get trapped by the tides - and its a long walk.

The Cape is free to visit but if you don't walk you will have to pay to get there via one of the tours.
