“Great location, great snow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

It is a great area of France to ski, it's very close to GVA airport. The slopes tend to be to one side of the town, but in mid March the slopes aren't too busy, the atmosphere is nice and friendly. Good evening entertainment and restaurants. The busier town of Morzine isn't too far away, which provides more entertainment for younger people.

Les Gets is definitely more suited to the family skier, rather than the younger ski trip.

“Les Gets - Ski”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Huge resort, reasonable prices, one can stay for a week and not repeat a slope. Good restaurants up on the mountains, the various slopes are well sign posted so you can't get lost.

“Ticked loads of boxes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Shortish transfer from Geneva. Traditional town with a variety of eating places and accommodation. Good Carrefour in centre of town plus usual food shops you'd expect in French towns. Express 6 man chair + gondola from centre of town. Two other starting points at end of town. One serves South facing slopes which we didn't use but were recommended. Ski school meeting place very close to gondola . Ski hire place held our skis and boots overnight which, which two young children, was brilliant. No carrying stuff around town. Good selection of Blues and Reds and some good collection of lifts close to one another giving you choices in which direction you went when arriving down in a bowl. Easy to get to Morzine which is as far as we went but it looked trickier to get across to Avoriaz etc. Everyone very friendly and no issues speaking English for us too lazy to learn another language. Next year I'll have a few more words. Yeah, right. Loved this place for young families. Did not queue once, which, given it was Easter week, although the French children weren't on holiday, was great.

“Great Place for Beginners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

We have just finished a week long holiday in Les Gets. We were all beginners and found the resort to have a great selection of runs to suit our ability. There are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from on the slopes. The only down side was the weather, which is of course pot luck. Most days were a 'white out'. On the plus side there was lots of snow.

There are plenty of ski schools in the area. We had our lessons with Pete from 'The Edge' who was excellent.
