“Comfortable, convenient and modern ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed in a family room in March 2014 with two adults and two children. Modern clean room with modern furniture and clearly recently refurbed. Bathrooms are small as per other reviews but adequate. Excellent location in the centre of town directly opposite the main gondola, with ski hire and storage next door. Breakfast good and the usual skiing hotel fare. We didn't try the evening food but the menu looked a bit limited and more of a bar in the evening. Very comfortable with pleasant staff and easy location with small children. Plenty of good eating options very close by, in particular the Hotel Boomerang which had an excellent menu and good value. We have already booked for next year and will be returning! Recommended.

This hotel is fantastic. Competitively priced, this hotel is in a very central location, it's quiet, cosy and stylishly decorated.

We were travelling with a baby so had lots of special requests and the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, even arranging an early check in for us when the reception was closed.

Will definitely return!

we stayed here for a week in January 2014, the hotel itself has a nice chalet feel in an excellent location but we found the staff particularly difficult. We asked to move rooms and this was clearly very difficult for them to arrange and they made this very clear to us! The rooms vary in quality from old style pine clad rooms to very modern, minimalist rooms. We experienced both and couldn't believe the contrast. We were also woken up at 2pm with drunk guests banging on the locked hotel door trying to get in, this needs to be sorted out as my boyfriend had to get up and let people in on numerous occasions. The reception needs to be manned or a door fob system provided, as people seem unable to remember a door code!

Room Tip: I preferred the larger minimalist rooms with more space but they don't have the traditional chal...

Just back from an excellent 4 day half term ski trip with family in Les Gets. The Regina is in the perfect location, right in the middle of town with the excellent Desire Sports next door (literally fall out of one door into a another), it could not be easier and the guys at Desire are very helpful and friendly with great equipment. Walk 100 metres and you are in the Chavannes ski lift. We left Bristol at 7am and were up the mountain having lunch in the Yeti Resturant by 1pm. The Regina is a great little hotel, very friendly, good contintental breakfast, great WIFI (even in the rooms), rooms sizes are on the cosy side but hey this is authentic France (not America) and the bathrooms were bigger than a lot of more expensive French hotels i have stayed in. The late check out changing facilties were more than adequate for those of us draining every last drop of great skiing on the last day. Also use Tim Scotts LGS Ski School there fab and ask for Mark Aplin, he was brill!

You really couldn't get a better location, right in the middle of the main street just 2 mins walk to the lifts. There is a good ski rental just across the alley way. Entrance is on the side of the hotel and is just an ordinary door which I walked right past but once in the lobby has a tiny checking desk but some nice seating. The bar is a little pricey but also serves nice food. The rooms are not big but are comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly although a little laid back, I had asked for our quadruple room to have four single beds and they emailed me back to say this would be the case and when we got there it was 2 singles and a double, staff told us they could not change, eventually they brought in a fold up bed which was ok but not great... Entry to the hotel after 11.30 is thru a second door at the side using a key pad which is a little difficult to see as light is from the Main Street at the end of the alley...Overall good value, clean and I would recommend. Things to improve are the entrance, add a heated boot room, have reception staffed after 6.00pm, put a light in the alley and a sign to indicate the entrance...

Just back from a four day long weekend with adult daughters and a non-skiing wife. A little frightened about Les Gets reputation as "lowish" and "difficult to connect to the rest of the Portes du Soleil". Both rubbish! There is a huge of skiing on the Les Gets/Morzine pass and the snow conditions were perfect. There is no better hotel in Les Gets for access to the main bubble lift, the bus stop and ski hire shops. Desire Sports (literally next door) were the cheapest I could find on line, and two us were given brand new skis. Equally, we found Eric Heritier's taxi service from GVA very reliable and, at 140 Euros each way, 20% than the more heavily advertised alternatives. All the comments about Hotel Regina are true - the bathrooms are not THAT small, and the half-bath is still quite comfy for a good read after a hard day on the slopes. Did not try the new restaurant as there is such a wide choice in Les Gets, but it looked good. Only downside is that if you arrive early and/or leave late, facilities for storing luggage and changing are limited - but that is a small price to pay given the overall value of Hotel Regina.

The hotel is conveniently located ~100 metres from the bottom of the Chavannes ski-lift and close to several ski-rental shops. It's also near to a fantastic boulangerie/pattiserie which we used as a cheap alternative for breakfast.

We stayed in a double room for three nights which was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the bathroom was pretty small and quite a tight squeeze. Overall, the Regina was fairly good value for a town where there are few cheap options!

Also, the WiFi was free and strong enough to reach our room all the way up on the 4th floor.
