“Excellent variety of birds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Easy to get very close to fantastic birds, many of which we had never seen up close before. You can walk for miles, so remember to take drinks with you.

“Don't miss it!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

Not really a "park" - more a reserve with walking trails (up to 6km), hides and observation areas so that you can get up close with les oiseaux without cages or enclosures - well worth spending an afternoon or morning here.

“Unexpected pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

There were a lot of people in the park already when we arrived, including school parties, which we thought might detract from the experience, but in fact it was easy to get away. There are several circular walks one can do: short, medium and long (the long is 4.5 kms), and there is a good little map provided with your 7.5 euro ticket, so it is easy to plan your time. Lots of flamingos, but also colonies of storks and egrets nesting together, and they are so inured to visitors that you can see them extraordinarily close to. Very good place to bring children.

No mosquitos at this time of year, and the temperature was lovely (about 22C). There is a café in the park, and also picnic tables.

“Fantastic for Flamingos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went at 5pm around feeding time and the spectacle was amazing, thousands of Flamingos flocking to the rice that was thrown into the water. There are other birds and ducks to see. There is a very knowledgeable and helpful young staff to help you identify the birds, with good explanatory boards telling you what birds to expect. Well worth a visit if you are visiting that area of the Camargue but do take your anti mosquito cream - they are huge and pack a punch.

“Great for seeing Flamingos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

I was of the opinion that the whole Camargues national reserve area would be scenic and there would be flamingos dotted around the place to see. This is not quite how it is. Definitely go to the Ornothologique Park if you do want to see some flamingos and don't do what I did and drive around aimlessly!! Once you get into the park there are lots of birds in the marshes and lagoons to look at. There are nice walks around and plenty of opportunities to take nice photos up close. It cost €7.50 which was fine I thought. I would recommend it
