We stayed at Hotel Le Serac for 7 nights in September and I have only wonderful things to say about our stay. We took the half board option and the highlight of every day was sitting down to dinner and enjoying the fabulous food coming out of the kitchen. The food was amazing and in huge portions to satisfy our hunger after a long day of cycling. On one particular day we misjudged the time it would take to complete a 164km ride, and arrived to dinner late, we called to inform Jean Michel of our later arrival and it was absolutely no problem. When we arrived we found an enormous, delicious cheese soufflé for entree, which was just one of the amazing dishes we ate. Some other dishes we had during our stay were mushroom pie, quiche, duck, rabbit, trout.. All delicious. And don't even get me started on desert! Creme brûlée, profiteroles, the list goes on. We based ourselves in La Grave for a week of cycling, and there is certainly no shortage of amazing cycling to be done, we did a different ride every day. Jean Michel allowed us to park our bikes in his garage and gave us a key, which was fantastic. He also gave us some great suggestions for rides. The village of La Grave is beautiful, the the view from the balcony of our room was just stunning. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. We felt very welcome and at home at Hotel Le Serac and we only wish that we could of stayed for even longer. Thanks Jean Michel!
