“Coup de foudre!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

A perfect evening, a warm welcome, realistic prices, delicious food! How could one not fall in love with this restaurant! We took the 20€ menu, grilled goat's cheese, tender sheep's cheeks with sweet potato mash, pain perdu, all of which was served impeccably presented. The food was well flavoured, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. This was our second visit and we shall return! A relaxing, fun evening with congenial, unobtrusive hosts.

“Little gem of a restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

We decided to have treat ourselves and go out for dinner. What a find. The quality and the freshness of the dishes. Not a huge menu, but its not needed. The couple's days are long from market in the morning to customers like us in the evening. The interior is a simple provencal style, the hosts are welcoming and the food just delicious; we'll be back soon.

“Real hospitality and perfect dining still exist”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

As a regularly returning guest of le coup d'fourchette we can only underline the quality of the food and the generous hospitality of the owners. The best kept secret in the bay of Cannes, both for lunch and dinner.

“Simply Fabulous Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Truly wonderful food, and excellent value for this calibre of cuisine. We both ate the fish choices from the daily menus washed down with a bottle of provencal rose all for 75 Euros. The surroundings are ordinary enough, a typical french bistro in style. The chef must have a great palate and cooking skills to match. Service was good too. The place is so good in fact, that I should have really kept it a secret.

“A few more euros for a lot more quality.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This restaurant, under newish management, is the rising star of Theoule dining. The exterior is unimpressive, but the warm welcome and imaginative menu will more than compensate. We opted for the menu gourmand at 30 euros and enjoyed, amongst other dishes, some spectacularly delicious rabbit, fresh-tasting giant prawns and a crunchy crumble dessert. A good bottle of Vacqueras, (well, two actually) added to the joy of the event.

A similar menu in Cannes would start at €50. More mundane but adequate menus will be found in Theoule for around €25. The marginally higher cost here at Le Coup represents outstanding value. As locals, this will now become a regular haunt. See you there.
