“Awsome views, good service and very high quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

My wife and I stayed a week at this hotel in May. The hotel is newly refurbished, and the rooms were just great! We had wonderful weather, and enjoyed every day in this great hotel. The service was a bit up and down, and depending on the people you met. The breakfast was nothing more than Ok, a little more variety would be great. We used the restaurant several times, and made a separate review of this. On the down side is the prices, they are rather high.

We recently returned from a two night stay as we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary.
This is delightfull hotel in a wonderful setting which is ideal for a few days of doing nothing and using the spa facilities.
We were very warmly welcomed with a drink on the bar balcony overlooking the sea which was very welcome after our journey.
All in all the hotel was lovely and the staff were attentive.
We took the gourmet option which meant we were half board but sadly we had to choose from the same menu as they only change it every three months apparently! The breakfast is delightfull and I highly recommend taking it in the courtyard on a sunny day. It's so romantic.
The food in the evening was a very good attemp at fine dining but I do feel that they were trying too hard. Every night they served an amuse bouche' Which I have to say was quite unpleasant to my trained palette. Other than this the food was excellent and very enjoyable.
Beware that the bar prices are very high with a small bottle of diet coke selling at 8 euros and a beer is 9 euros.
If you come to this hotel expecting five star to the corporate chain standard with carpets two inches thick and a happy hour bar deal then this is not for you.
If however you want to go somewhere completely different with small hotel charm with gorgeous decor set in an unbelievable location then this is the place for you.
All in all this was a really nice stay but I have to say that it is a little overpriced. I would think that you are paying for the location more than the hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get the best room for your budget. The sea view makes a massive difference to starting you da...

We were very disappointed and caution that this hotel is absolutely not in the 5 star category. While the views and location are spectacular, the hotel lacks certain amenities, charm and most of all a service attitude from the staff. In fact we even wrote to the hotel after and didnt hear one word back from 2 letters. I wont elaborate but the staff was pleasant but mostly occupied with other tasks and not there to help with booking, towels, check-in , room issues, drafty dining room. We booked a prestige room (room 16) and couldnt believe how small the bed was (double bed!?). It honestly didnt even occur to me to check that it wasnt at least a queen bed in a prestige category room at a 5 star hotel. Besides, the bed was hard, and uncomfortable. We stayed 3 days and then checked into the Four Seasons Terre Blanche - now that is a hotel. Sorry, Tiara, I gave you chance (2x to answer me and restore my faith). Theoule-sure -mer is a delightful area, so if you have limited expectations a night or two there might be all right, but triple check your room confirmation. Lastly, they have a habit of sending you an offer to upgrade (you get like 5 messages about it and you agree to take a higher price room if available). We did so but when we checked in there were none (understandable) but no one at the desk even was aware of this program. Then when I wrote a complaint letter no one answered me, but I did get a form letter a few days after thanking me for my stay and welcoming me back! Impersonal as obviously they just send that to everyone - no one cared about my critique enough to respond or at least thank us for taking the time to share some observations. Synd!

Book the hotel for a weekend get away for the wife and I. Hotel arrange for a car to pick us up from Nice airport. When we arrived there was a problem with our Delux Suite. They told us they would look into it while we had a complimentary drink on the patio in the sunshone overlooking hte med. As there was some mistake with our booking they upgraded us to the Penthouse for free. This is one of the most amzing rooms i have ever stayed in. The penthouse covered the entire top floor of the hotel with huge outside patios with two jacuzzis!

Eat at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. My wife is a vegitarian and the staff did everything possible to ensure her meal was just a fab as mine.

Defo coming come, only need to save for the penthouse though!!!

Room Tip: If you can afford it go for the Penthouse!

We simply loved our stay at the Tiara Yaktsa, this is THE most wonderful hotel in Cote d'Azur! We left the hotel with the feeling that each single euro paid for this hotel was very well spent!

The hotel is very intimate and personal, with amazing views. We had the penthouse and it could not be a better experience, it was amazingly decorated, very modern, each single detail was chosen to make it perfect!

We have plans to go back to Cote d'azur next year and will stay there again for sure!

Nice boutique hotel outside Cannes. Moroccan style. Our room was relatively small so even if it was well designed with all its details (home cinema, curtained bed, cd collection etc) it felt a bit crowded. We enjoyed some nice side sea views and a nice breakfast. Staff was very friendly and professional. As we visited during easter it was too cold for us to use the pool and the sun beds but they looked fantastic for summer time!! There was free parking and free wi fi internet services (not very good signal though) which was a very a great good add on. The bathroom was spacious with a double rain shower which is great but without a bath tab for those that would like to enjoy a bath (at least in our room).

I would recomend it to others and definately would go back.

Room Tip: Go for the patio sea view rooms even if you have to pay more!!

We stayed for 3 nights in April 2012 with our 8-year-old son. Upon arrival we were welcomed very courteous and friendly, and efficiently shown to our room including a demonstration of every drawer and switch in our room. The room has a beautiful Moroccan décor and was well laid out, with a small balcony, but the bathroom was very small. The hotel is fairly new, and as it is located on a hillside, it feels compact with its many levels. The pool area and sunbed was very nice and well designed for relaxation.

The housekeeping was outstanding, with extremely high levels of service.

We ate in the restaurant two nights, which served good food and wine, and with a very good evening service. The breakfast was average and with an average service (girls giggling in the kitchen rather than attending guests). However, overall the staff was very friendly and tried hard to provide a very good service. It seemed that the hotel was wanting to be a 5* hotel by offering smiles and high prices, but somehow there was a distance between intentions and reality as it somehow didn’t deliver that extra star.
