We stayed at La Calanque for 3 nights in August and the location is amazing. The stony beach pictured is literally out the back gate of the hotel. We stayed in La Pointe Bleu at the end of the row of apartments. The apartment was spotless with great a/c, if a little dated, and a nice terrace area. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and loved it, although it was a bit pricey for every night. On one of the nights there was a band playing and we were treated to a free gig from our apartment - great treat!
The cons: I had understood from the pictures that our terrace would be private, but it was open and the garden was shared with about 3 other apartments. There was also a rundown wall/door with a fire extinguisher opposite our terrace which let the view down. We went during the height of the holiday season and the beach was crammed with families except for late at night.
Management and staff were helpful and apartment was fine, but overall I would recommend this hotel more to families than couples.
