“Back to P&O for me.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2015

Travelled on the Berlioz out of Dover and the return on Friday 24th 2015, never again though.
Toilet problem that looked like you had p***** on your shoes as there was inches deep water sloshing around. Stone cold Breakfast, inedible snotty cooked eggs and total apathy from the person serving, lift out of order and not a crew member in sight to help a youngster with a nipper in a pushchair negotiate the stairs and chairs in the Bar area that reminded me of my last parents meeting at primary school as they are made for Midgets, no wonder everyone was stretched out on the benches. Left Dover late and never arrive early as there is a horrendous wait to book in at Calais that required me to miss my crossing, and it's a ten pound note to alter your booking even when it's not your fault. What a shower.

“All OK except...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2015

On time, drinks and food too expensive as usual on cross channel ferries, mediocre duty free shop, Wi-Fi connection too complicated, but despite that reasonably comfortable. However, why have ashtrays directly outside the doors to the deck and no automatically closing doors so that the whole inside bar seating area smells of cigarette smoke. Utterly disgusting.

“As a way of getting to and from France then fine - other than that if you want anything else then awful...!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2015

Poor food slopped on to the plate, poor service = cold food by the time you get to the tills, lack of cleanliness generally and staff who are disinterested all makes for a poor experience.

If however you want to go from UK - France - UK etc, then it is nothing more than a water based taxi.

TAKE YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK, avoid the cafes on board and avoid anything that costs money (food, drink, shopping) - it is poor quality and overpriced..!

“Cheap and very empty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2015

No problems at all -- but there was no one on the ferry at all - maybe 30 cars and just a few lorries. Would not have wanted to use the restaurant with so few people on board - as what I saw looked very tired. But easy to use , on time and cheap -- would use them again

“Fast and easy! best way to get accross”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2015

I've taken this ferry many times and in my opinion it's the best way to cross the channel! Is it slower than other routes? Certainly, but it's the most leisurely. Onboard food is excellent and there's a lot of seating options. I believe they took either Euros or UK pounds so no need to worry about currency transfers prior. I always crossed with my car and never once had any damage.

There are some downsides! It seems like every time I took the ferry there's an unruly group of teenage kids from either a UK or other European school behaving like a Chinese tourist group.. yelling, throwing things down halls crowded with people, or basically doing things they'd never do if adult supervision was present. Last time it was a group of 15-16 year olds from Spain that were the source of most of the problems. One even knocked down my 4 year old unnecessarily. Crew was fairly unresponsive to my complaints. I'm also fairly certain they were the ones that robbed the sleeping American tourist sitting close to me. The kids group tend to spread out all over the boat, but I'd suggest the front of the boat, away from the shops and dining areas. I would also suggest to the "My Ferry Link" folks that they take some steps to ensure kid's tour groups are properly supervised.
