“Cheap and cheerful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Stayed one night. Rooms clean and as expected for a cheap B&B. Bathroom/WC fine. Despite being a non smoking room the previous occupants had obviously ignored the signs and there was a lingering smell of smoke. Breakfast perfectly adequate for the price even if not much space in the restaurant. Ideally located for ports, town, Cite de Europe and motorway.

Last minute trip to France and Belgium, this place was a welcome refuge on the first night. Easy reach of the Ferry Port and town centre for a late night beer, the place offered a comfy quiet room (if a tad warm) clean, tidy and comfy - the only detraction was the slight ciggie odour in a non-smoking room. Plenty of room for one, would have been slightly small for a couple. Slept like the proverbial. Cracking breakfast - I love French food....!

B&B have two hotels in Calais and the one in Saint Pierre is the best, the hotel is clean and friendly. The manager Eric is eager to help and the hotel is in a good position and near enough to the motorway without having the road noise.
The rooms arn't the largest but have most of what you need and at a budget price
Some reviewers say about noise at the hotel, Ihave stayed at the hotel at least 8 times and have never had a problem

Room Tip: Take a travel kettle as one is not supplied

What more can i say, beds were hard, not enough pillows, decor was looking extremely tired, and the room was that small you couldn't swing a cat if you took your cat on holiday with you, nightclub opposite so very noisy even at 3AM.Claim to be secure parking but no evidence that the gate was ever shut so watch your car :( that's just to mention but a few issues. On the other hand there were plenty of places to eat and it was close to the Eurotunnel 10 min drive

Room Tip: don't take pets the rooms are to small

This hotel is clean and pleasant - although the room was small. There is a lift to the upper floors. Reception is quiet and spacious, and the staff were helpful. There is reasonable parking - (but it is not as secure as the hotel would imply in their listings - we returned on foot after midnight, and the gate was wide open).

The best thing about the hotel is its location - although it is just off the autoroute, it is on the edge of town, and it is perfectly possible to walk into the centre of town, or even right through to the coast.

If you are heading for the ferry, we advise that, unless it is rush hour, you don't follow the road signs - they take you on a long sweeping drive well away from the town via the autoroute, when it is only a short drive if you go through the town centre.

Free internet - Good
Free UK TV - Good
Allows pets - Good
Comfortable bed - Good
Hot powerful shower - Good
Poor effort with pillows - Normal for a hotel chain
Thin walls - Bad, but normal for a budget hotel
McDonalds across the street - Good, considering the reason for staying in Calais (Ferry)
Free parking - Good

Overall a good stay in a semi-decent hotel, a lot better than others in Calais. It does what you expect for the price and I would come again every time I use the ferry crossing and have done so.

Haven't tried the breakfast so can't comment.
