“Modern, Convenient, Budget, Brilliant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

A bright, modern and comfortable stay is a great way to surmise this well located Amiens hotel. Situated behind the station, opposite a car park (24hrs €7) and a short walk to the shopping district, cathedral and river-restaurants you can explore the whole town with relative ease.

The hotel itself is comfortable, modern and well-designed with a clear emphasis on its green eco-friendly credentials. It is the perfect choice for a simple, uncomplicated one-night stay for business, couples or families. The staff were helpful, the rooms clean and appealing, the beds perfect and the bathroom, immaculate.

I could fault Campanile if I tried, although I would recommend buying-in your own breakfast. We bought 10 croissants, butter, ham, cheese and juice for much less than the €9 pp breakfast buffet.

After experiencing Campanile I will definitely be considering staying at their other locations when travelling through Europe on a budget. A great find.

This hotel chain is known for its good prices and no frills. I stayed two days after having stayed at the Sheraton Malpensa. I read the reviews of this hotel, stating that it is good for no frills. Tha being said, this hotel differs from a Sheraton in that there is no room service, no kleenex and no unnecessary furniture. Other tan that, it is a superb price for the location. Tey offer a breakfast for 9.50 Euros, which is reasonable considering that everything you would want is there to eat. The dinners are very inexpensive and tasty. Good value for your money. i would go again, if ever I am in Amiens. This is a good stopping place for seeing many WWI sites EXCEPT the Canadian one at Vimy widge, which is about 1.5 hours away. However IMHO the Canadian one is the best;

but I digress. This otel has everything most travellers would want and convenience added. The chain is all over France. Look for it, if you do not require fancy furniture and roopm service as the rooms are nice, and have most amenities, and the food is tasty ( at least if you have travelled a lot and are just looking for a convenient place to stay and good, but not exceptional food).

Room Tip: Ther is no fitness centre but I could not clear the data

Good location by the railway and easy to find. There is a car park alongside which is easy to use. Really friendly staff and the rooms are great. Liked the bed and the room is well equipped, clean and well sound proofed. Good value for money and a shirt walk to the city centre. Nice one.

Summary: Overall a fresh, clean, modern budget travellers’ hotel. We would definitely stay here again when travelling in the area.

Location and Arrival: located just steps from the Amiens railway station, we were checking in within a couple of minutes of arriving on the train platform. Just walk out the gate on the same level as the train arrives and you can’t miss it diagonally opposite.

Check-in: efficient, friendly and helpful.

Room: small but had enough room on the bench under the window for our 2 large suitcases and carry on bag. A tea and coffee tray on the dressing table/desk plus a large flat screen mounted on the wall. The bed was very comfortable and the room had individual temperature controls. The room had no fridge or safe, however the bar next to reception was happy to provide ice in a bucket on request.

Bathroom: good size and very clean with a small but adequate hair dryer.

Wi-Fi: Free although not very fast. The reception area also had an internet station and printer.

TV: The room had a large, flat screen tv mounted on the wall and while most channels were French, it also had BBC World and CNN.

Restaurant: Buffet continental breakfast was pleasant. We also dined in the restaurant on 2 nights which had a limited menu but the food was very good.

Other: walk through the railway station and you are opposite the pedestrian mall which has a supermarket and broad range of shops. There are also many resaurants in the area.

This is not a 5 star hotel, nor does it pretend to be. It is a good, clean, fresh, modern taveller's hotel suitable as a base if you are spending a few days touring the area.

We booked this hotel primarily as a stopover on our way back to Germany so budget was a big factor. We expected a reasonable stay but the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff were lovely when we arrived, especially Oceane. We were a bit hungry and as it was late we missed the restaurant but she offered us bar snacks and a drink. Again we expected something plane but got home made apricot tart and a selection of cheeses and biscuits, all washed down with a pint and a glass of wine (very happy!)

Location is perfect for exploring, only 5 mins walk to the Cathedral. The rooms were very modern and clean, and an added bonus for us Brits, had a kettle and tea/coffee in the room! Free WIFI everywhere and a standalone with printer in the lobby if you needed it.

No dedicated parking but a secure parking area opposite and the hotel do a deal of 15 hours parking for only 4 euros so a bargain. If this is the standard of the Campanile chain we will definitely stay again.

Dear Guests,
It took me time to thank you for your nice comment of your stay, but as you explain so well our different services, I hope I will have the pleasure to thank you at the hotel for your next stop.
There is the Christmas market and the Colorisation at the Cathedral every day in December.
So see you soon !

My best regards,

Very nice and clean hotel. Nice breakfast and rooms are well enough equipped for a short stay. Only little thing we found was the coffee and tea in the rooms was very sparse, and they only give you paper type cups to drink from. All in all a very pleasant 2 night stay.
