“Great restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Typical restaurant for novelle quisine, small portions , no fillers. But excellent taste combinations in small portions.
You should visist this restaurant if you like taste experiences, don't go there to kill your hunger.
Price is relatively high.
I can reccomend the Creme Brulee, which is flamed with Grand Marnier .
Tip: don't order this in advance but at the last moment , otherwise the start perparing it and the sugal layer will not be crispy enymore.
No English menu and No English language
Make a reservation.
Modern fit out , Grey and red collored interior, no nice romantic atmosphere

“All good except.......”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012 via mobile

A large group of us so admittedly we might have been a logistical challenge, but the really good food, reasonably priced quality wines and the speed of service were seriously undermined by the incredibly charmless and officious attitude of the waiter. Shame because otherwise I would recommend it highly.

“Ignore its Michelin rating ...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

We found this place through the Michelin guide and were let down. The "modern French" food was what we should have expected: small servings with a side of pretension. They did have a lunch set menu with a glass of wine that was ok-ish value but given the quality and charm of some of the other restaurants in the area I wouldn't bother with this place.

The real problem here was the service. The waiter seemed absolutely put upon that he had to take our order and didn't crack a smile once. He seemed to be getting on with the native French speakers around us so maybe it was a snobbery towards tourists, although given that we ordered in French I'm not sure if that was the issue. We did bring our toddler along with us (who was really well behaved) and the waiter looked at him as if he was something you might scrape off the bottom of your shoe. The female waiter was noticeably friendlier but her polite behaviour did not make up for that of the male. It might have been close to the Mercure (where we stayed) but walk down to the canal and you will find a whole host of restaurants with great food and service that trounce this place.

“Very competent cuisine and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2011

This restaurant is located across the road from the Mercure hotel; very convenient if you happen to be staying there. The ambiance is a little lacking in warmth, furnished simply but comfortably. The cuisine is modern French with interesting choices. The food was delicious and well presented and the service was faultless; a recommended wine was very good and not expensive. The restaurant was full with what seemed to be mainly local clientele, so booking would be a good idea. We would certainly return if in Amiens again.
