An excellent location for a relaxing family holiday

Fresh and clean accommodation with well appointed decor and kitchen welcome pack

I would recommend highly but with notes
Tricky to find
No bar/coffee dock to meet others
No access to internet VPN functions
SPA is maybe a little expensive unless you are prepared

Saying all that I would return

Room Tip: Family of 4 in a 1 bedroom house Its grand Kids upstairs in twin beds Parents in living room sofa be...

Great location, with pleasant 15-20 min walk to beach or town. 2 bed house was ideal for a family of 4. Loved the bakery delivery. Children loved the pool and I enjoyed the great views. Don't expect to do complicated cooking in the kitchen as it is pretty small - but the excellent restaurants in town more than compensate. Staff very friendly and courteous. Enjoyed exploring Normandy - very pretty. We hope to return some time.

Enjoyed a great one-week holiday at Pierre & Vacances in the lovely sea-side village of Houlgate. This resort enjoys incredible views over the village and the sea front. The lodging units are of recent construction and really well designed, spacious, tastefully furnished and very clean. We booked a 2 bedroom individual condo, which is great when travelling with children. The kitchen is well equipped and functional and we enjoyed many a sunny family meal out on the terrace. Our daughter's favourite obviously was the outdoor pool, heated to a pleasant 28 degrees. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as well as knowlegable about places to visit and eat out. The city centre is a 10 minute walk from the resort with a daily market and all convenience stores at hand. The local supermarket even delivers your groceries free of charge. Likewise testes the catered food service, good value for money and super convenient. Overall highly recommend this property for its perfect lodging units and peaceful location.

A lovely little town and very good standard of accommodation, however a 30 minute walk uphill and no taxi service in town made getting around a little difficult. Thank heavens for the lovely man at the cafe AU48 who insisted on giving us a lift to the hotel to save us walking up the hill in the rain. You can't beat hospitality like that.

We just had a fantastic vacation, including Normandy, and found Pierre & Vacances a great place for R and R after touring the region. The front desk was very helpful, the rooms spacious and comfy. And the village was fantastic!

If you want a comfortable, family friendly base from which to explore the surrounding towns and countryside in Normandy you can't go wrong here. Great service and great advice to help you maximise your holiday. However, if you feel that you would rather relax at the complex, the grounds are lovely, the family pool is great, and a spa treatment is a must!

We thought this would be a perfect alternative as Centre Parcs was fully booked this week. Whne we arrived the views were stunning, lovely area, great size accommodation. However, firstly we discovered children couldn't use the indoor pool. This was no way made clear to us on the website or paper work. Outdoor pool was freezing so that was swimming out of the question. Not much else there for kids a tiny park but more suitable place for non-families. The house was a good size and decorated well but very dirty. There was thick cobwebs, dust filth, dead spiders and nests down the side of my daughters bunk bed. I had to hoover the place from top to bottom. We ended up leaving this holiday a day early, what a waste of money. We did enjoy days out in the area though. Would be great place if clean. Normandy is very expensive area now compared to ten years ago. Two coffees and two juices average £20.00! Hope we were a one of bad experience. Housekeeping also left our front door unlocked all day.

Room Tip: All houses had a good location and view
