“Comfortable and Close”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Stayed only one night with my wife in early Mar 2013. The facility is about a three minute walk to the Old Town area. Our room was clean, well appointed with a comfortable bed, good shower with pleanty of hot water and towels. The cable TV worked and WI-FI was available at no cost. Breakfast, served in room facing the garden was good. Coffee, teas, bread crossiants, an assortment of cheeses, jelly ect. One wall was adorned with Thank You cards from prior guests. The stairs going up to the bedrooms are a bit narrow, so I would advise against trying to lug a large suitcase up them. A standard "roller" bag is good, anything larger could be a problem. I would return if I were in the area.

Room Tip: Don't try to check in prior to 1700hrs, it does not open until then. Additionally as the evenin...

Stayed for 1 night on way down to Brittany I read all reviews and was glad I picked this B & B .
It was very clean and the room ( Angelus ) and bathroom were large and airey . There was a " comfy " feel about the place . The breakfast room was nice looking out to a lovely garden but unfortunatly the weather was wet so unable to use it . My only negative was the noise from above room when guests came in on the wooden floors but this would not stop me from staying or recommending this B & B .

We have just spent 4 nights at Les Hauts de Boulogne, 3 couples taking over the accommodation. We have all enjoyed ourselves and are particularly pleased to be able to give Christele an excellent rating for the cleanliness of her rooms, the breakfasts and her friendly advice to her guests.
The bedrooms, guests lounge and breakfast room were ideal and although the weather was not always the best, the private garden was perfect.
I would recommend this accommodation for overnight or longer stays, being just a short walk from the old walled town, which is on the way to the port and beach areas.

we've just returned from a short break in Boulogne. We stayed for two nights at Les Hautes and were very pleased with the service. The previous reviews say it all really this is a wonderful hotel, quaint, impeccably presented with a warm welcome. Boulogne is a place well worth visiting and the hotel is near the old town. It's a short walk to the main centre but it is a steep hill, take suitable walking shoes. Everyone we met was friendly, lots of restaurants and bars for evening entertainment. I recommend visiting Nauticaa it was fascinating.

Stopped here for four nights in October 2010. The owner really made is feel at home and everything was as described. Lovely house although on the main road we were in a bedroom overlooking the main traffic but is does not cause any noise problems at all. you wouldn't know the road was there. Parking outside the house is free with no time limit.

Situated at the top of Boulogne near the old historic walls and a nice walk down hill to the port . The breakfasts were really good with home made jams fantastic. Christelle even gave us some to take home with us.

My only complaint was that I tried to book again for October 2011 and it was fully booked. Still that shopuldn't have surprised us. Never mind we will book earlier next time as we will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have just returned from two nights staying at Madame Magnier's beautiful house. We had a lovely stay there. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are a delight (we stayed in the Natural Room). There is a gorgeous garden to sit in and the location is perfect for walking a few minutes to the restaurants by the Cathedral. We would recommend dinner at "The Swan" which was delicious but beware of the Brasserie Parisienne - we went there the first night and it was terrible. Parking was fine outside the house. Thank you Madame Magnier!

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night at Les Hauts de Boulogne on the last night of our mini-break in France. The owner has the most amazing, beautiful house & three rooms available on a B&B basis. The photos on the website do not really do the place justice! We stayed in the "Natural Room". The bathroom was quite small but the room was well equipped and bed was comfy. Breakfast was at a time we requested and was delicious - croissants, cheese, home-made jams etc. The B&B is only a 5 min walk to the old town and about ten minutes or so into the town centre. Definitely pay a visit to the fish market by the port, amazing! Boulogne-sur-Mer is only a 40min drive to Calais so it's a great stop-off either on your way towards Normandy or on your way back. We'll most certainly go back and would stay at Les Hauts de Boulogne again.
