“Good aquarium sea lion show was a good addition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Me and my husband visited here 25th July, we paid online to save some money and got the ticket printed at the information desk. This is a good feature to allow last minute online booking for tourists without a printer. The tickets wouldn't scan at the turn style but the lady checking them stamped our hands instead and let us through.
There is a good selection of fish with well labelled information with English translation. A nice change from UK "sea life" aquariums was a sea lion show. The sea lions were very well behaved and seemed happy and well looked after.
There is a good feature also that you can return until closing time if you have your hand stamped which means you can eat/ visit town and come back.

“Bit of a maze”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Since my last visit in the late 90's Nausicaa has expanded and gone on a more environmental tack which in some ways is no bad thing, albeit perhaps a bit boring for younger members. My biggest gripe is the signage ( lack of it ) and the map handed out which gives very basic information on the attractions. The website promises certain new things to see but the handout makes no mention of them so they're easily missed. It would be so much easier to get around if the various sections were coloured and numbered not merely numbered in the current haphazard way.The highlight of the day was the sea lion display which we stumbled on by chance and a must see. Staff though friendly enough seemed to send us on a wild goose chase three times when we asked for a certain attraction through the maze of dead ends and inability to back track. Due to time restrictions, the crowds ( with many very ignorant locals ) and the oppressive heat we'd had enough and were forced to leave missing two vital themes. Sorry Nausicaa on this occasion you didn't live up to your billing and we'll be in no hurry to return, especially in the summer holidays!

“A great rainy day treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Easy to find, parking just next to the building, location superb - right on the seafront.
This attraction is entertaining for all ages and covers everything to do with the sea. The layout is good and is educational for all ages.
The price is affordable and apart from during August it is not too busy.

“Great family day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

We all had a great time here. Our 8 month old was fascinated for hours. One suggestion- bring your baby in a sling rather than a buggy if you can. There are various lifts that you can use for the buggy but I spent a lot of time wandering down dark corridors looking for a lift while my husband got around easily with the baby in a sling!
