If you are looking for spotlessly clean, centrally situated, comfortable and pleasant accomodation for a night or two in Arras, then look no further than 'Les Trois Luppars'. We have stayed there many times, either at the start or finish of the holiday. Arras is a convenient distance from Calais if you have travelled far to reach Dover (from Scotland, in our case) and is also a convenient distance from Zeebrugge if you are planning a return journey the next day to Hull or Rosyth.
The owners are welcoming and efficient and speak some English. The rooms are simply furnished but very comfortable. Breakfast is cleverly set out on individual trays and offers cereals and fruit as well as the usual croissants etc At the hotel reception desk is a fascinating photograph album showing Arras after the bombardments of World War I reduced it to rubble. Les 3 Luppars makes a good base for exploring the battlefields in the surrounding area.
The hotel has no restaurant, but this isn't a problem given the large number of good restaurants within a few minutes walk.
