“Justifies No 1 spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012 via mobile

Helpful staff who kept topping us up with delicious warm French bread and tasty fries, lovely desserts (we had the 'Rouge Baiser' and the 'Chouchou') and the most gorgeous melt-in-the-mouth steak with 'secret sauce' I've ever had the fortune to taste. My Dad's one criticism ("if he had to be picky") was the uncomfortable red chairs we sat on but other tables have more comfy green chairs. Ideal location on the Grand Place and opens nice and early if you are hungry. We got there just before 7 and there were already diners in there. HEAVEN!

“Excellent French restaurant not just on a Monday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Monday nights are tricky nights for dining out in France at the best of times, so it was a surprise to find this modern French restaurant in Arras, open! Recommended as a good restaurant by the hotel, we took the chance. This chic restaurant offered a good welcome with helpful staff. Whilst focussed on beef, it offered a good selection of traditional and modern classic French dishes, we chose the 'Rossini' and the 'house special' with sauce Paradis.
Interestingly they favour a more traditional style of service, the steak is sliced and served on a platter that is then kept warm on a warming plate on the table.Superb french fries and slightly over-cooked vegetables were served separately to the diner, regularly replenished, silver service style, throughout the meal making our dinner really enjoyable. The steak was exceedingly good, as was the house wine, Cote du Rhone, a good choice for both quality and value. The restaurant quickly filled up with regulars and tourists, even so, the service remained good and prompt. Dessert, an apple, crunchy icecream sundae was very good, and turned out to be huge, more than enough for two. Would definitely visit again!

“Don't miss this place if you love beef”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012 via mobile

I want to take the concept of this restaurant home with me.

Simple menu, fabulous service, great food, left so full we could burst. Value for money. Oh yes!

Even had the choice when ordering wine in a carafe of fresh corked or ambient already aired.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

Book first. You will get great seating the place was full to the brim.

Menu all in French but no issue staff so helpful.

“A lovely meal to end our holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

We stopped in Arras on our way back from the French Alps on an overnight stay. Taking advantage of the free wifi at our hotel I looked up restaurants on Trip Advisor. We chose this one because of its good reviews and my husand's love of steak. We were not disappointed. It was extremely hot when we visited and we were seated in the cool and contemporary surroundings inside. The pavement terrace would have been lovely if it were cooler, as it looks out on the Grand Place. The service was good. The children's menu good value too. We went for their signature steak in their secret sauce and it was lovely. Hand cooked French fries accompanied the main course. We were offered more fries during our meal. This is part of a small chain of three restaurants and we would definitely commend/ return.

“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Enjoyed a very good dinner here - reasonably priced, excellent quality, including really good home made frites. The staff were very attentive. The special steak dish is excellent, and the tartare is very good quality. A simple set up - but it is done well - they know what they are about and get on with it. The fish dishes looked very nice as well.
