Nothing short of fabulous. Stopping late (1.30) and finding this treasure on an unassuming street corner in Arras was a great find. One look at the menu was enough to temp us inside. The waiting staff were friendly, helpful, wanted to check everything was OK at each course and delighted with praise from tables (not just ours). We had the duo of prawns and langoustines to start with and I had the marmite du pecheur (three fish of the day-in this case salmon, skate wing and sole, with mussels cooked in a fish soup with potatoes and served with the normal fish soup accompaniments of croutons, rouille (a spicy garlicky mayo) and grated cheese). My husband had the mussels and chips-he chose mussels in garlic and cream sauce from a list that took a whole page of the menu! Portions were generous and we failed to finish our mains, which was a shame as I had my eye on the cafe gourmand which looked yummy! Two courses, large bottle of water, a glass of wine and 2 coffees cost us 61€
Will definitely go back for the create-your-own plateau de fruits de mer and won't have a starter so I can have the cafe gourmand. Lovely way to start or finish a holiday in France. Chapeau!
