“What a surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

Very interesting attraction, not well signposted but well worth a visit. Well set out with a great audio system and friendly knowledgeable staff. So glad we decided to go and the tour is well worth the entrance fee.

“An unforgettable visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

It's a must see. We went to the Tunnels on the last day of our visit to Arras and the Somme. And it's where it all caught up with me. To visualise and experience first had what the brave men of WWI wnet through - just pleased that we went to see it. Have to hand it to the Kiwis - they proved themselves here.

“Fascinating insight into the past”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

It's a bit out of the centre and the signage is not great, but do visit if you are visiting arras- it's a fascinating glimpse into our history. Wonderful and knowledgeable guide, very good audio system. Well worth couple of hours

“Inspirational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We were part of a group and booked via the tourist office. Booking was confirmed in advance and we were expected and advised they had put an additional tour guide on for us. Plenty of parking. The tour is a great experience and gives you plenty to think about.

“Carriere Wellington, Memorial site Arras”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Opened 4.5 years ago as a memorial to the soldiers who lived in the tunnels of Arras prior to the bloody battle of Arras. Tour takes about 1 hour including a 10 min video which is really interesting. Excellent guide, very knowledgeable. You must go with a guide, there are 12 miles of tunnels - it would be easy to get lost in there. Fascinating facts, great snippets of film footage, lots of anecdotes from the guide. Very emotive, evocative and poignant and a very important historical memorial that shouldn't be missed if you're in Arras. Its about a 5-8 minute drive from the main squares depending on traffic and how good your satnav is! Very much enjoyed this one and highly recommend.
