“Lively, busy chain bistro”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We arrived 'on spec' on a Saturday evening and were very lucky to get a table for 2. The food is straightforward bistro fare, with wine available by the carafe.
The waiters also speak English if you need.
I was pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our meal including 'escargots' and 'terrine de lapin' in what turned out to be a very lively bistro restaurant.

“Very Good traditional French food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

As you would imagine from the name the steaks here are great , and perfectly cooked, but they also have a good choice of fish on the menu. My favourite starter here is escargots, and I must mention the Irish Coffee for dessert which is at least 75% whisky with a small topping of coffee and cream.

“Very nice restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We had lunch here on a week day and it was full of locals in all sorts of configuration; office groups, business men, families, couples etc. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food very good. Would most definitely recommend.

“Good service with middle-of-the-road fare”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

I was a party of one one evening. Service was friendly. Waiters speak English. Had a main (tagliatelli with lieu (a type of fish) and small shrimps) and dessert (rhubarb clafoutis) from the specials/daily board. Mains had a generous serving of fish pieces. Food came quickly. Typical french fare which might be heavy (read creamy) for some. Total bill €29.80 with the 2 courses, a glass of red wine, 50cl of San Pellegrino and a petit cafe. All in all it was an alright meal.

“A Good Honest Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

This is an example of the type of straighforward restaurants hat are often fond a road away or round the corner from a railway station in France. It is not pretentious but serves good alue food of a traditional style. It is large and I suspec that reservations would not be required except for groups. The service was fine, although perhaps rather more prompt than is usual.
