The place was okay, but I wouldn't stay there again. It was a bit like staying in a Youth Hostel and reminded me of my time at a YWCA back in the 90's. If you want a back to basics sort of holiday then it'll be fine, but take a kettle if you like your tea, or you'll have to do as the French do and boil your water in a saucepan. Also, the walls are paper thin (crying babies can be heard from 4 doors down!)and the windows let in all the noise (and breezes) from outside, so don't stay on New Year's Eve (like we did)if you are a light sleeper! It doesn't have a bar, only a TV lounge, but it's not much fun without a beer or hot choc. And you have to clean the place before you leave! Basically, not my tasse de thé, but does the job. However, it is worth knowing that from St Lary village it is a 10 minute journey on the cable car to the slopes (plus up to 40 minutes queuing). So if you like your skiing on your doorstep, forget this.
