“Pretty good Mercure hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

We stayed here for one night and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Rooms are specious and very modern. Bed is comfortable and bathroom looks great. Obviously free wifi.
They do charge for their parking space (you can park in front for free if there is a parking space available). Breakfast is good
All in all a very good experience.

Very good welcome - the receptionist remembered me from September 2011 (6 months ago). The quality of bedrooms is very good indeed: they are airy with high ceilings, have fabulous modern powerful walk-in showers, big firm beds with proper bedclothes, and the pleasure of having tea and coffee making facilities in your room, all make this hotel excellent value.

Another plus is the amazing breakfast, with a choice of healthy and hot cooked options available until 10.30am. If you are driving, you can pay extra and park at the back of the hotel. However, you can also park for free directly in front of the hotel if you get there at the right time to find a space - there's no yellow lines or parking charges! Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Brand new, well located and exceptionally clean. Staff very helpful, excellent. Modern hotel, spacious rooms only spolit by paper thin internal walls and cheap feel to the fittings - a sign of the times perhaps? Overall very good.

Welcome: Fabulous, despite arriving at 11.30pm on bicycle. We were met by the most helpful guy. Although we were tired from cycling for over 12 hours, he immediately found a room for our two cycles. Then after we'd showered and changed, he made us pizza and quiche at just before midnight. A real star whose stand out service was impeccable and a credit to this Hotel.

Facilities: Beds and shower in room 207 were great and tea and coffee making facility were welcome too. The Hotel is well located and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well above average with plenty of choice until service stopped. There's no restaurant but Vittel has a small variety plus the amazing restaurant l'appart vittel. There's also fast wi-fi in all rooms and it is free. If you're a cyclist there is a cycle hire shop across the road and it also hires bikes out as well.

We stopped in Vittel by chance as it had got late. We will be going back to visit the amazing restaurant and when we do we'll be staying at the Mercure.

Vittel was a glorious city many years ago. Now its grey, dull, depressing!
Hotel Mercure is in a quiet street near the Vittel spa.
Parking is behind the hotel. Watch for the parkingsign. Large carpark, paid € 7/day. No entry from carpark in the hotel.
So you have to walk around the hotel to the front.
Hotelreception is on the first floor. Ring the frontdoor bell. Reception will open the door and proceed to the lift.
Hotel is modern, rather new.
Beds comfy, large bathroom with rainshower.
Small fridge available at no cost.
Free WiFi in your room.
Breakfastroom very small and crampy. No privacy!
Breakfast items choice are average. The waitress will make scrambled eggs on order. Just ask for it. Also bio products available.
