If it was not for Trip Advisor I would not have found this restaurant in the first place. But it was well worth looking for it slightly off the main road.
Inside: is impressive, some sort of big old farm building renovated at its best. Place can catter a bigger table or a romantic atmosphere in two.
Service: Waiter was very helpful - i asked for a wine to go with my meat, he brought one to taste, that I did not like, so he rushed off and came back with an unopened bottle to taste, which was perfect. I liked the effort.
Food: we simply took 3-course dinner menues. Very tasty appetizer, not to big main course and a delicious desert. At the end I was more than satisfied.
We will return to Gerardmer as it is a beautiful place and we will certainly return to le coq a l'ane.
