while the hotel is not a 5 star hotel, the towels weren't changed and the room wasn't cleaned, we can't wait to go back. the sexual energy at the hotel, the pool, the beach the foam party, was just wow unbelievable....

We made a lst minute booking as we were in the South of France and wanted to see the Cap-d'Agde. We tried to get 3 nights but could only get 2 as it was a holiday weekend. This was the early season price of €300 per night 5* star prices for a 3* star hotel. like everone seems to say the condition of the rooms a fairly used, lots of bulbs not working as the hairdryer, small towels the list goes on.
The bar staff and the service around is very good and friendly.
The hotel is very well placed to get to beaches - rest - clubs and shops.
It is certain that the hotel can charge these prices as it gets very very hot around the pool and we are not talking about the sun.... Sex pay's
We liked to whole buzz of Le Cape and will return but have found an other place to stay next time....

Room Tip: Get a room away from the bar it quieter

The studio was in poor condition. flaky paint and a door off the hinges was badly repaired. The noise from the nightclub goes on till the early hours of the morning. 450 euros a night for room only, is very expensive for libertine activities round a pool in hot summer with no shaded areas. Food and drink are all extra at prohibitive prices and of very basic standard. Rooms are not cleaned every day. towels not changed till you ask.

Stayed at Jardin in july for a week , iv given this place 5 stars based what it is however there was a few problems with the accommodation itself so il start there .

The negatives are pretty much what everyones written on here , the beds are rock hard as if you were sleeping on a bed made for prehistoric man ! there isnt really a restuarant , no such thing as room service however the girls walking aroung are helpful (when you can grab them as there always busy) we stayed on the top floor which apparently was better , couples from outside kept coming in as if they had a magic pass into the place !

You have to preserve your towels as getting more is a headache (get some from the pool as a tip) the machine operated sun shade had its own mind as it open and closed periodically on its own.

Now for the good stuff !

Although there were alot of negatives the positives of this place definitely out weigh everything else , it is a place like no other where pretty much doing what you please if your in the swinging lifestyle is possible so if this isnt for you then you wont like this place as its definitely for the un inhibited ! We arrived there and standing on the balcony looking down below us was 2 couples having sex openly in front of everyone which was a pleasant shock ! you do have to check in at the entrance of the village which has a office and you will be driven to destination .

After waking up the next day and decicing to go to the pool everything good about this place was apparent , picture a place where people of all ages very comfortable in thier nude selves lying at a pool with no one even looking at you wierd or anything like that happening , the pool attendants are very helpful getting you a place to lay down and setting it all up for you , mattresses towels etc , the immediate shock (if its your first time) wont take long - pretty much all couples having sex openly in front of you and swapping and having endless pleasure which after a while became second nature and was very nice to do everyday .

Meeting other couples here is really nice and the hotel offers total security from the outside , the jacuzzi is quite large lukewarm and again all kinds of sexual acts were occuring throughout the day , by late afternoon the bar plays loud music , not much people gathered but it was nice as we were holidaying . Sleeping at night isnt the most peaceful as music from several clubs are playing around you but that should be expected for place like this , also the endless screams of couples playing throughout the night in pleasure is happening from time to time .

As for everything on the outside i will be doing a review soon as there is too much to say , however Jardin d eden is a fully contained place of endless pleasures where no one judges and you meet the most interesting people from everywhere ....and its all nude with the women wearing the sexiest of outfits !

Room Tip: get the top level as it has a view of the pool and all the action !

Not finding much info about Jardin d'Eden online, my husband and I decided to make a reservation and hope for the best. There are only 2 hotels in Cap d'Agde and Le Jardin D'Eden has a better location, right near the beach and the popular swingers club, Le Glamour. We have friends that stayed at the other hotel (Babylone) and it sounded like Le Jardin D'Eden was a better choice. However we wouldn't stay at either hotel again if we decided to return to Cap d'Adge. Apparently, the nearby campsite has 'caravans' (RVs) that you can sty in, and it's a much better value and an easier way to meet people.

When we arrived by taxi at the entrance to Cap d'Agde (20E from train station), we paid the entrance fee and found an office immediately to the right of the front gate, with the hotel's name on it. They said we check in there, gave us a hotel key, a map, and drove us in a little cart 5 minutes away to our hotel. We were surprised that they only give one hotel key per room, so that means we could not come back to the hotel at different times, and had to stick together whenever we left the hotel.

Not having 2 keys was one of our biggest issues with this hotel. Another disappointment was that the hot tub was kept at a luke-warm temperature all the time. It would have been so wonderful sitting in a nice hot tub at night, but as it was we never went in. It didn't help that we saw so many people having sex in the tub during the day, and we met a pharmasist who told us that live sperm live for 24 hours in luke warm temperatures!

We did have some fun, sexy times around the pool during the sunny days. The pool boy would find us a spot, set up our mattressess with a clean pool towel, and arrange our umbrella. Sitting here was often like a scene from a porn movie- lots of couples being sexy everywhere. Not very many english speaking people on our trip so if you go to Cap d'Agde, be sure to brush up on your french vocabulary, especially when it comes to ordering, reading menus, or asking for directions.

Our room was on the ground level and we almost never heard our neighbours, except the occasional extasy noises and patio parties. The room had an open bathroom which seemed a little strange- we thought the upstairs rooms had a much better view and layout. The hotel didn't have daily room service, so if we wanted anything such as fresh towels or toilet paper, we'd have to call '600' from our phone and hope for the best.

Something to make note of is that you can't call a taxi from the phone in your room so hopefully one of the nice cleaning ladies will let you use her phone to reserve a taxi the day before you need one. Another thing to note is that our taxi was 20 minutes late so book earlier than you expect, and they come right to the hotel door to pick you up, not the front gate where you got dropped off.

The bar around the pool closed early each night except for a private party on Wednesday for SDC members (online swingers forum), and guests of the hotel. Drinks at the bar were very expensive- 10 E for a small rum and coke. Hoever buying alcohol and food from the supermarket right beside the hotel was cheap, and it was nice that the room had a kitchenette with a fridge, 2 stove burners, a coffee machine, dishes, dishwasher, ect. The room's showers were also excellent (nice and hot), and we enjoyed the patio, although our room's motorized tarp that covers the patio did work.

We heard from antoher guest that their bathroom floor was constantly flooded. We had to be careful of the taps and turn them on very gently or they would spray all over us. On a positive note, the room was clean when we got there and there were plenty of drawers. It would have been nice to have a full-lenth mirror, though (they have one in the upstairs rooms).

It was quite an usual hotel becasue there was no lobby, and no on e to ask for help or advice if you needed it, unless you asked one of the bar staff, a cleaning lady, or called from your room. The cleaning ladies were generally nice, the bar staff were just doing their jobs, many restaraunts we went to didn't have especially friendly service, and in general we felt that this was typical among this culture.

There was a restaraunt at our hotel but it seemed to be open only for lunch and it never got too busy. Being vegetarians, our choices at restaraunts were usually just pizza, pasta or goat cheese salad, so we usually made our own meals in our room. Be prepared to buy coffee, salt/pepper, cooking oil, and a clock if you need an alarm.

We were happy that the rooms had air conditioning, as some of our friends staying at an apartment didn't have it. I forgot to mention another large disappointment of this hotel- the beds were rock hard to sleep on (apparently Babylone beds were worse but it's hard to imagine).

Well that's about it for the hotel. The city itself was full of restaraunts and shops with sexy stripper outfits. There were a lot more sexy women than men, however a lot more men in general, especially all the single men on the swinger's beach, looking for action wherever they could find it. I took a stroll down the beach on my own and I had guys floating all around me, just waiting for me to give them any sort of sign that I was interested. If an attractive couple started having sex on the beach, she would immediately have mostly unattractive single guys all around her hoping to be invited in. It wasn't unusual to see 30-50 men all standing shoulder to shoulder 2-3 people deep in a circle surrounding some action on the beach.

There was a very large portion of family beach though, with lots of kids playing in the sand, just on the other side of one of the beach restaraunts. People seemed to respect the different beach boundaries.

Hmm.. well that's about it for Cap d'Agde. I didn't talk about the club scene, but just think sex everywhere and you're on the right track. Just a quick note about Le Glamour's daytime foam (mousse) party. Fun sexy foam to dance and play in, you must be naked and no shoes allowed, people having sex all around, even right beside the 'no sex in the pool' sign (pointless sign!) and a communal, nasty washroom with no toilet seats. However it's quite an experience- don't forget a towel and put on sunscreen beforehand. If you can stash your stuff somewhere it's better than using the baggage check, as they may be very rude to you if you need to get something from your bag before the end of the party.

All in all, Cap d'Agde is a unique place in the world of ours, quite an experience. I hope this review has been helpful to you.

The first problem is actually getting in to the hotel. You don't go to the hotel itself you need to go to the AGN office near the front gate. They provide you with a key to get you into the hotel and then a card to get into your room. It saves a bit of hassle if you know this. In my opinion it is a very late check-in - 1800. We were a little early, we were given the keys but the room had not been cleaned. Couldn't really complain as it was ready for 1800. The ground floor room was well presented with a window into the bathroom (jacuzzi bath and shower) and our own patio. The patio would have looked on to the pool but the wall and plants are too high for this. There were matresses around the pool and a public jacuzzi - also a bar. Sun loungers were provided for the patio. This is a couples only hotel - which is great because you don't have kids running around. But it does mean you get to see some interesting activities going on around the pool area. However you don't have any hassle from anyone else so it's not really a problem. They serve breakfast in the bar/restaurant area - but there are shops selling bread and pastries nearby. Free wifi is available but it is not a strong connection and quite slow - but then it works and is enough to check emails. The only real complaint is the dreadful, mind-numbing music played quite loudly between about 1230pm and 7.30pm - at times ridiculously loudly. I don't mind it in clubs but - time and a place surely. There were times we had to retreat into the apartment or go for a walk to escape it. It is expensive to stay - but the place is nicely presented. However you do need to ask them to change linen, towels, toilet rolls as they don't come in to the apartment unless you ask. Having made a comment about noise during the day I should say it was quiet at night and in the mornings - no noise from the nightclub nextdoor - so you can get a good night's sleep.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms have a private balcony and a view of the pool.

Stayed four nigits in early August 2010. The place was fully booked. We had an apartment on the ground floor overlooking some grass close to the outdoor bar. Kitchenett well equipt with dishwasher and big enough fridge. Bathroom very nice. Terrible expensive (350 E/night no meals) but if you like the free and beautifully relaxed atmosphere there it's worth it. Nice looking and friendly people. We liked the place so much that we stayed in the quit small gated hotelarea most of the time. But beware; there are loud music from maybe 15 to 22 and people starts ordering cold rosé wine from lunch. Then the music from the nightclub nextdoor continued to 01, but with closed door we felt it acceptable, and after all its a bit like living in a party so what can you expect. Most people left in the evening to restaurants and clubs so it calmed down at 19. So if you're more into "be close to nature" this is not the place for you. Also, you are not as private as normal with big windows towards the public area. The design is a bit chilly with the concrete walls and grounds (as most Cap d' Agde), but elegant enough when the sun is shining. There is not much service, which we didnt expect anyway being apartments, but the attitude was positive and polite. Pool, sunbeds and jacuzzi are great. We have booked a return visit this August in the same hotel.
