“The best most friendly staff I have ever encountered...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2011

I just returned from a slightly less than 2 week stay in this hotel. The first thing I would have to say is that it is probably more of a 4 star place rather than 5 simply because it is more comfortable and quaint than luxurious.. But for me, the staff there made my stay so enjoyable. I had a luggage issue (I'm staying in a golf hotel overlooking a beautiful golf course, and British Airways doesn't see fit to deliver my golf clubs to me until a week after I arrived..). But the staff took my luggage problem on their shoulders and worked as hard or harder to help resolve my issue.. They provided constant updates, and made inquiries on their own to see if they could help resolve the issue, and were genuinely disappointed when things weren't handled as they should have been..
For the peopl who talked about no maid service or making their own bed, that was their fault. There is a Palmyra golf Residence right next door owned by the same people, but they provide apartments for rent, not hotel rooms Need to have a clue before you travel.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again because of the location, the comfortable environment, and the wonderfl staff...

Room Tip: Try and get a room overlooking the courtyard...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

I stayed there with my wife for a week in July 2010. Our "superior room" was large and comfortable - about 40 sq.m. with a large double bed at € 185 per day excluding breakfast. Bathroom was also spacious and comfortable. There was a flat TV something like 46 or 50 inches however useless for people not speaking French because among French channels there was only one German channel and it'shame that there was no news channel in English. Breakfast costed € 16 per person and it was buffet type with choce of cheese, ham, salami, boiled and scrambled eggs, fruits, sweets incl. creme caramel. Receptionists surprisingly spoke quite good English which is not common in France and the service was OK. It was quiet at the hotel although sometimes we could hear lawn mowers on the adjoined golf course. The hotel is located about 6 minutes walk from the pedestrian street leading to the center and about 20 minutes walk from the sandy beach where 2 beach bads + umbrella costs € 20 - 22 per day. There 2 swiming pools, one at the hotel - very small (6-7 meters long) and another one outside (I wasn't there).
The access to Internet was at no extra charge, however they had 3 WiFi routers, all of them were weak and I had to go to the patio to catch the signal to my laptop and iPhone..
The golf course is nice but not easy where difficult greens could ruin your fairway achievements. Unfortunately I had an elbow problem and could not fully enjoy playing there. For golfers the hotel is ideally located, for non-golfers it is probably the best hotel to stay in that area and they will not be disturbed by golfers. In general there is lack of good hotels at seaside resorts of Languedoc-Roussillon. That's a pity because it is my favoured region of France with wide sandy beaches, not overcrowded like Cote d'Azur.

1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2008

Arrived at the very start of September, just after check-in time after a long drive. We checked into a nice size family room with balconies overlooking the golf course and pool.
When we arrived at our room, the girl from reception told us that we would have to make our own beds as everybody was busy or had left for the day!
Having calmed down following a swim in the pool, we went down for dinner, where we were told the restaurant was closed (which they neglected to tell us on check in) but we could eat at the restaurant adjoining the hotel and golf course. On arrival at the door step of the restaurant we were told that they could not accommodate our children. We could see that only 2 of 50 available tables were occupied so capacity was not the issue. So we had to load the kids into the car and went into town or pizza.

At well over 300 Euros for a room, we expected much better. We found staff lazy and very unhelpful and the place completely unfriendly to kids.
It was certainly not anywhere near a 4 star hotel in our opinion.

Very good 4 star hotel worthy of its stars. Rooms are really superb, huge comfy bed, air con, fab views, quiet at all times. It's a busy golf course so there were lots of golfers staying, we didn't go for the golf, we went for the beaches. The beaches here are brilliant and include the Cap d Agde naturist resort - the largest naturist resort in Europe. If you can find the courage (none actually needed!) you must visit. Anyone wanting further info, happy to answer email questions.
The hotel is a perfect base for the area. Its only on two levels, about 40 rooms and great views from all rooms. We have no critisism at all and will definately return again in 2009.

Good hotel with lovely large rooms, our's had a king size bed and a balcony with table & chairs offering lovely view of the outdoor swimming pool and golf course.
Indoor swimming pool was on the cool side but lovely and clean. Probably best in the summer when the roof opens.
Breakfast was plentiful & there was an "a la Carte" choice. We had breakfast one morning in our room which was very nice eaten on the balcony in our lovely fluffy towelling robes from the hotel.
Worse thing was the mowing of the lawns at 6am.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2006

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. You know when you see a hotel on the internet and it looks lovely, then you turn up and are disappointed because it does not live up to its publicity? Well I can honestly say that this hotel did not disappoint. The reception area is very welcoming, Spanish villa style, the staff are all polite, helpful and charming. The room itself was lovely with a HUGE and very comfortable bed, with crisp sheets. The bathroom was well equipped with huge fluffy towels and even big fluffy bathrobes and a decent power shower! All in all we loved it. The only negative point was that we thought breakfast a tad expensive at 15 euros so we went elsewhere. If we were visiting the area again we would certainly stay at this hotel.
