Booked this hotel for a few days near the beach and it was perfect for that purpose - the sea is a two-minute walk away and the weather was perfect. The hotel itself is clean and bright (if a tad frayed around the edges here and there) and our room - overlooking the pool - was bright and spacious. The bed was comfortable enough and it was good to see that larger (i.e. UK/US size) pillows were provided. The bathroom had recently been upgraded and looked fresh and modern (unlike the one in our daughters' room, which was somewhat dated). The only meal we took at the hotel was breakfast, which was ok, nothing more - a continental spread which is a bit pricey at €13. Staff were cheery and helpful and facilities seemed good (although we only used the pools). The hotel has a restaurant on the beach, as well as lounge-chairs for guests - however, I resent it when there is a charge for the use of these loungers (€9 for a pair, per day) when the cost of staying in one of its rooms is hardly cheap. The beach stretches for miles, however, and there's plenty of room to put out your towel (which Capao does provide). There are a few small shops in the vicinity of the hotel (including a boulangerie and a wine shop) which are quite handy, although you'll probably need a car if you're looking for a decent restaurant (we headed to Marseillan and Sete). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in Cap d'Agde and would happily recommend this hotel.
