“Gone downhill”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

"Don't bother" and "supplement natureva" sum it up nowadays. Natureva is way overpriced. It is ridiculous to pay hundreds of euros for the privilege of a hammam and sauna that are actually closed for 17 hours a day for "technical" reasons, and that are open for only 3 hours between 9-4:30. The rim of the footbath at the entrance to the pool was green with some scummy algae. Extra towels are charged for. A few years ago, there were better, more polite, staff, and the hammam and sauna were on almost 12 hours a day. Now everything is worse. If natureva were not one of only two hotels in the village, people would have stopped going. It would be struggling to survive on its poor service and facilities. However, its unique position in the village means it will still draw customers.

Book earlier at other bonafide hotels and you will do much better. Services are almost nonexistent here unless you pay extra.

Have room made up daily - Supplement
Have room cleaned (as required) at end of stay - Supplement
Towels for the beach - Supplement
Use of Aqua Gym - Supplement
Late Checkout - Supplement
Continental Breakfast - Supplement
Of course all spa services are extra.

Oh, you have to throw out your own garbage, too.

Pool, steam and sauna closed from 12-4:30 everyday.
Reception desk open from 9-12 & 3-6:30; after that you are on your own.
WIFI is only available in the small lobby (which does not have AC).

All this for $180.00 a night.

Studio rooms were almost ship-like bunk beds. They were quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the parking lot.

Had booked this accommodation which at the price would indicate a 5 star establishment. We had requested a room on the end.Upon arrival the hotel was closed between 12 noon and 3pm.When we finally gained access we were told they could not meet our request and said they were fully booked. However after some minutes came back to us and offered us a room per our request but said it would be another 10 euros a night. We declined this offer and felt that the staff were not helpful and in fact aggressive.Moving to our accommodation we noticed that the floor was dirty and our patio had cigarette butts all over the floor and cobwebs all over.Dead or dying pot plants. We felt that this hotel with its policy of closing midday and hotel staff going home at 6pm did not reflect the 207 euros we paid per night. We were also told to do our dishes and put out all rubbish and clean the kitchen or we would be charged. We want be back back

At 210 euro per night (and this is not the high season price) you would expect better services.
There are no services. There is hardly any reception. We arrived late at 20:00 pm if you consider this late. We had informed about this both during our online reservations and during a call made to the hotel. You would think that they would inform us ahead of time that the reception closes at 19:00! And give us explicit instructions on how to get into the room, etc. If we had not been lucky enough to run into a couple that had experienced the same the night before, we would not have been able to get into our room. More surprises: we have to clean the room and have it inspected before we leave otherwise we pay a housekeeping charge. Believe me no vacationer is going to sit there and clean the room thoroughly so the room and the so called hotel are not very clean! There is a 15 euro charge each time you want your towels changed and a 30 euro charge each time you want your sheets changed. Breakfast of course is not included. WiFi works only in the tiny non air conditioned reception area when it works! If you are tempted to reserve a room in this `hotel` just do not do it believe me you will thank me for it! If you do not heed my advice, well you asked for it so don't complain when you see what a sham the place is!

Yes, it's more expensive than Hotel Eve, but way worth it for the pristine indoor pool & solarium, and friendly reception, friendly tenants. And it's a short walk to the beach. Will definitely return and get a massage next time!

I stayed here at the end of the season. The room was quite nice - modern, fresh, nice bathroom, decent (not too hard) king size bed. My room was on the top floor and had a balcony with plenty of sun which I like.

The problem was with the pool/sauna/steamroom area. (1) The opening hours for the pool is limited to 9am-9pm. If you want an early morning swim that is a problem. (2) The water in the pool is quite cool - and the (air) temperature in the pool area is sufficiently cold so that it is rather uncomfortable to relax on the loungers provided. (3) The sauna is only open 9am-1pm and 4pm-9pm, it should really be open all day especially in the shoulder season when weather outside can be a bit iffy. Also, the door to the sauna was in poor condition - I saw one person struggling to get out of the sauna since the sliding door was stuck. I helped out, but the door was really hard to open. (4) The steam room was somewhat moldy. (5) While the use of pool/sauna/steam room is free, note that the jacuzzi requires payment.

So - as a hotel it is recommended, but the relax area leaves something to be desired. If the relax area had been warmer and in better shape I would have give this spa hotel 4-5 stars.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms have balconies with sun. The lower floor rooms have covered balconies.

Just spent a lovely week in Agde at this hotel.
A faily new hotel located close to the entrance control points.
The location puts it out of the way of the hustle and bustle if the village, just few minutes walk and you are right amongst the clubs bars and restaurants or about 5-10 minute walk from the beach. The hotel is very quite and relaxing - it is not a party hotel.
The reception staff are very helpful and speak good English if you do not speak French.
The hotel is very clean and tidy.
The rooms are a good size we had a studio apartment - the sofa beds are very uncomfortable but can be improved if you put the bunk bed matresses on top of the sofa bed mattress.
Other people we spoke who had fixed beds said the fixed beds were comfortable.
There are all the usual Spa hotel facilities/ pool / gym / sauna etc.
Be prepared for a few extra charges 70euro for a sunbed for the week on the sun balcony.
Extra charges for towel change - there is a laundry in the hotel and in the village - extra charge to have your room cleaned daily - end of stay charge for to clean your room if you leave it dirty. There is a 300euro request for a deposit incase of damages - we were not asked for the deposit - or charged for end of stay cleaning - they need to get the charges sorted it appears a little off putting - even though we did not get charged. You wil have to eat out - no restaurant - there are plenty of places to eat in the village

Room Tip: Try to avoid the studio rooms because of the sofa beds. Try to get a room on the entrance side of t...
