“Plenty of space near the tarmac”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2012

This is a very useful place for a stopover at CDG. A very efficient shuttle service is provided (make sure to get pick-up location in advance), the service is excellent, and every consideration is shown for the weary traveller: we were given our room at 9.30am after an overnight flight from India. The room is very spacious and can be divided by a partition into a bedroom area and the rest ---- a microwave, large fridge, kettle with complementary coffee and tea bags etc, lounge area with TV, and free wi fi. The shower area and toilet are separate and there is an extra basin adjacent to the kitchenette. There are no restaurants of any quality in the vicinity, and although microwavable foods can be purchased in a lobby store, the selection is very limited and the popular items quickly run out. Plastic cutlery can be picked up here as there is none in the room. Altogether, and for the price, this place offers value hard to beat.

Had a layover and found a good deal on this hotel. It's what you would expect from a Novotel, the main trick is to find the place.

To recap, when you arrive in the CDG train terminal (I took the RER to get to the airport, and it is the final stop in Terminal 2), you would go up to the 4th floor, head to the side that has the "Paul" bakery stand, and either take the stairs or the elevator up to the 5th floor. There's usually a bunch of people standing there, and this is where the shuttle to the hotel stops.

Another good thing to know is that there are actually 3 Hotel Novotel stops on this shuttle route, and the Suite Novotel CDG Paris Nord 2 is the LAST stop. So...in order, the shuttle stops at the Suite Novotel (not this hotel)...another hotel, can't remember the name, then the Novotel Fitness and Wellness Center...then the shuttle leaves this area and drives over to a separate area on the way back to the airport that has 3 or 4 more hotels, and this last stop, is where the Suite Novotel CDG Paris Nord 2 is. I found that out the hard way.

As for the hotel, more or less what you expect from the Novotel/Ibis hotels. It was nice, clean spacious inside. All purpose shampoo/soap dispensers, and no toothbrush or toothpaste. Room comes with free movies, wifi, cable tv, which was nice. Spacious, and perfect for my needs. There's a little area in the lobby with some convenience-store style fridges filled with TV-dinners and other little snacks if you get hungry. No restaurant, and the bar area was completely deserted. I ate at the Courtepaille restaurant just in front of the restaurant, which was fine.

Shuttle comes by every 20 mins. Get in line early, as the shuttle services 3-4 other hotels at this stop, so there will be alot of people getting on and fighting to find space for their luggage. The shuttle hits all three CDG terminals on the way back.

No real character, nothing to do in the area or in the hotel, but all that was expected. For my needs, it was spacious, convenient, not too expensive, and thus, perfectly suitable.

The hotel is ideally located if you fly from Roissy early in the morning. The rooms are ''suite'', but they show some ageing here and there, the same problem is seen in the corridor.
I needed a room with a decent bathroom for my family and my young son, I got it.
We appreciated the complimentary cupcakes, coffee, tea etc.
I ll be back with so low rates.

Room is very big with a separate toilette room and a bathroom (with bathtub AND shower). Everything looks new and it's very clean. The only thing missing in this hotel is a restaurant!

We have often used this hotel (5 or 6 times now) for Paris stopovers when driving through France. It's sasy to get to, being just off the A1 and is far enough out of the city to avoid the worst of the traffic. For a trip into the city centre, drive to Gare de Villepinte, only 5 mins from the hotel, where you can catch the RER B. Don't be tempted to catch a train to Paris from Gonesse or Goussainville on the north side of the A1 (I wouldn't want to be returning to my car in these towns late at night).

As for the hotel itself, there is secure underground parking with direct access to the hotel reception by elevator. There is also a Courtepaille restaurant on site. The Suite hotel rooms are spacious and all have a second sofa bed and an innovative screen can be used to divide the room for privacy. As a family of 5 we have used this place as it s easy to book two interconnecting rooms and the price is still reasonable.

There are three other Accor group hotels on the same site, in descending order of facilities/quality and price, these are the Ibis, the Etap and the Formule 1. The Novotel Suite Hotel offers a simple French breakfast of coffee and croissants, other breakfast options are available in a vending machine bur don't offer much value for money. There is also a bar in this particular hotel, but not the others on site.

As other reviewers have mentioned, it is easy to book the wrong Suite Hotel, as there is also one in Roissy en France not far away. The Paris Nord 2 hotel is located at the following GPS coordinates: N48.989   E2.514

Room Tip: All rooms are the same, and lifts aren't too noisy so don't worry about being close to them...

We jut finished out second stay at the Suite Novotel CDG Paris Nord 2. The last time was in 2005 and the hotel rooms have shown a little wear, but otherwise are in good shape. It is a great hotel for a short stay or if you have a long layover at CDG.

The room is large by US and European standards and can easily sleep 4 people with a queen size bed and two twins in each room. There is also a privacy curtain that separates the queen from the twin beds.

Each room has a spacious bathroom room with an 115v outlet. There is a separate toilet closet on the other end of the room. The room also comes with a microwave, refrigerator, hot water kettle, teas, coffee, and snacks, hair dryer, and the usual assortment of toiletries.

The hotel offers a free shuttle from the airport and it can be difficult for the first time traveler to find the bus. The easiest method is to find you way to the CDG train station in the terminal building. Go to the 4th floor and you will be above the rail lines. There will be elevators to the right and to the left of you. Look for the kiosk selling coffee and pastries and take the elevator next to it to the 5th floor. The bus will stop at the elevator doors on the 5th floor

There are a number of shuttle busses that come by, including two for Novotel. Look for the bus that says Rossy – Nord 2 Novotel Suites. You do not need to call for a bus, it circles through about every 25 minutes.

You will get a better room deal booking on line at www.accordhotels.com than you will call their reservation center. Novotel is part of Accord hotels, which also own Motel 6. However, do not be deterred by that. Accord’s properties in Europe are much better than their Motel 6 properties in the United States.

Great choice for a one night stay if transiting through CDG. Staff were very helpful, in particular were able to cut a lock off a suitcase (never did find the key). Particularly liked the room configuration in terms of the toilet/bathing facilities occupying separate space. Nice to have a hair dryer, pleasant toiletries and a kettle with tea/coffee.
As has been mentioned before, finding the correct Suite Novotel was problematic. There are two Suite Novotels as well as a least one Novotel in the immediate CDG area. Even though I had read the reviews and felt that I was on track to the correct Suite Novotel, the taxi dropped us at the other location.
The shuttle bus on the airport side required a bit of looking; the signage for 'hotel shuttles' was a bit sparse. There are regularly scheduled shuttles to the airport; it is posted at the front desk.
Would stay here again if in need of airport accommodation.
