“Cheap and Convenient for Early Morning flight”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

I have stayed here many times in the past. I live in the far west of France and often my flights times and my TGV to my home do not connect. The hotel is right next to one of the Airport Stations (Terminal 1/3) and the airport terminals are easily reached with the little shuttle train. The hotel is extremely easy to get to. It is not expensive and is always clean. I stayed in a newer part this time and there was no noise. The rooms are basic but are clean. There are no tea or coffee making facilities so I always take my little water heater (£6 off eBay). Similarly no mini bar. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and a nice shower.

The food is not to my liking at all, especially the breakfast. For an evening meal I catch the little shuttle train and go to Terminal 1 where there is a Hippopotamus restaurant which I find more than adequate. For breakfast I go to one of the outlets in the main terminals

I will continue to stay here in the future when I need to make a stopover. It is ideal for me. I paid only 69 Euros, but note one cannot make any changes to the reservation for this price.

Don't stay here if you want to visit the centre of Paris. The Metro/RER costs 9.50 Euros per person each way!!

I always had the curiosity on how Ibis in their home would look like. I stayed in Ibis in Brazil or in European cities / countries other than Paris / France and I was happy to find such a good cost / quality ratio. Well, it is not the same in France. This is our second Ibis in Paris. The first (Paris Gare du Nord) was a nightmare. This one was OK for a night if you need to fly in the following morning, But it is not what we expected. The size of the room and the bed were good. You hear noise from the upstairs room, as if it was in our room. It was not a big issue for me because /i was really tired and fell asleep quite soon. The bathroom looked like an airplane toilet - all plastic - I mean all - even the floor - The bathroom was a single plastic capsule. Being a plastic capsule would not be a problem if everything worked well, but the bathroom would flood if you took a long shower. Furthermore, it was out of shower gel. We asked for it at the front desk and they gave us a new shower gel tube immediatelly. Not really serious issues, but it seems they do not have a checklist, and are always ready to solve a problem instead of avoiding it. That all bothers if you are tired and only need a place to take a shower and sleep. In my previous experience in Ibis outside France, everything was very simple but clean and ready to use. Front desk: They speak good English and are very friendly. Location: Be advised it is not that close to the airport. They have a free shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes, but leave the hotel one hour before your desired time to be at the airport - You may wait for 20 minutes, plus people getting in, luggage getting inside, 10-15 minute-drive, people getting out, luggage released.... There is another Ibis near terminal 3 with easier acces to the airport - I didn't stay there, but it looks like a better option.

Main reason for choosing this hotel was location , as was on a 1 night layover between flights.Booked via the Accor website , and in advance, cost was Euro 60 for the room only.
Room was small , modern, very clean. bed very comfortable, a double or small queen size.
No fidge, TV mostly french speaking, but one or two English.
Quiet, despite being in aircraft flightpath. Shower and toilet good.
a good, low cost ( for Paris) hotel located in the airport precinct ( about an 8 min shuttle bus ride from CDG T2 )
Would stay again on a layover. Ate at the Hippopotamus grill restaurant, short distance work from hotel. there is another restaurant nearby as well, also a grill restaurant.

I spent only one night at Ibis (for a layover).....extremely easy to reach from the airport...it's actually almost IN the airport .....take a shuttle bus to terminal 3 (if you are in terminal 1)....in 2 mins you are there!!! The room (for 90 euros a night) was pretty small but pretty clean and comfortable....so room size shouldn't be a problem if you are staying for a couple of nights only!!
Services:
-2 Restaurants, a bar, a snacks shop are available till late at night.....
-Vending machines filled with snacks and drinks.... somewhat reasonable prices...
-Locker room for bags: 8 euros for medium sized ones.....10.5 euros for big ones....
-Forgot your charger? No problem, they have a "phone charging machine" for 2 euros an hour...!! For all phone brands....
-Free Wifi for 24 hours
-They have a cool deal, if you have a problem in your problem, they will have to fix it within 15 mins...or "THE ROOM IS ON THE HOUSE"

Check-in in 2 mins and for checking out you only need to drop the key into a big plastic bowl at the reception.....fast and smooth!!

So, overall a very pleasant, practical stay for a layover....

Not being from the area, we had a GPS and still could not find the hotel. Rode around for an hour trying to figure out where it was, in the snow, at night. The address on the confirmation is not clear as far as the info you need to enter in your GPS. It had the coordinates, but the GPS from Europcar did not have that feature for us to input the coordinates. Once arrived, the hotel is nice. Our rate was super expensive (US$200) for type of room, definitely not the price we are used to paying for a hotel. But it is on-site at the airport, saving a taxi ride from another hotel off-site (couldn't find one that was free off-site) and time. Our flight was early so we had to be out by 5:30 a.m. Definitely nicer to be on the grounds of the airport. Rooms are comfortable, probably the most comfortable bed we had during our entire trip. Would definitely recommend this brand again, but for the price? No.

The Ibis at CDG airport has rooms by the hour for people with long layovers. I wanted to sleep, shower, and get some work done during my ten hours between flights. The hotel is very easy to get to... just a few yards from the Terminal 3 stop on the little shuttle train that runs every couple of minutes among the terminals and parking lots (CDGVAL, I think it's called). No need for the bus. My room was small and bathroom very small, but perfectly adequate for a place where you aren't planning to stay. Bed was comfortable, shower was great after a long flight (and in expectation of another one). Everything was clean. But I was surprised by the amount of noise: the sounds of people moving furniture in the room above me (that's what it sounded like), opening and closing doors along the corridor... I thought it would quiet down after whatever was going on above my head finished, but various noises persisted... not super loud, but enough to be disturbing when you're trying to catch some sleep.
Nonetheless, it can't be beat for convenience, and it felt great to have a few hours out of the airport to stretch out and to work in comfort (internet access worked fine). I'd probably go there again.
