“Very Nice Hotel Near Charles de Gaulle Airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My family stayed at this hotel one night in July 2014 during a stopover at CDG airport. The hotel was very clean and pleasant, with nice spacious rooms (large for Europe) and modern amenities. The beds were comfortable, and everything in the room worked properly. The included Wi-Fi worked just fine. The bathrooms were very nice. The staff were pleasant and friendly. We did not try the breakfast as we planned to eat at the airport.

We rode the shuttle bus to and from the airport, and it was not the best experience. It was confusing to locate the bus stop, and took a long time due to the numerous stops at other hotels. You are looking for the bus marked GOLD LINE; the bus itself is not gold and does not say Gold Line on it; you must see a small white sign in the front windshield which says "Gold". The return shuttle trip in the morning was packed like the metro at rush hour, they literally could not fit any more people on & the luggage was a tower of a pile, the only thing keeping it from falling was the mass of people standing against it.

Of course, I'm rating the hotel, not the shuttle, so overall this is a great place to stay, but if you plan to use the airport shuttle, be prepared for it to take at least 30 minutes once you get on the bus.

We stayed five nights in August 2014, I must say I really enjoyed my stay here.

The location is very good, close to the airport with a free shuttle service and it's about 30 minutes drive to Disneyland, which worked really well for us.

Breakfast is really nice, loads to choose from, I really enjoyed the potatoes, what a lovely idea to include that in the breakfast selection. The fruits are fresh, great quality fruit juice, could boil my eggs myself to perfection, whao ! no more half boiled egg for me.

Staff are very helpful and nice, housekeeping was great.

Facilities are great, had lots of lovely time in the clean swimming pool with the kids, the gym is good, I loved the sauna and the steam bath.

The lobby has games and pcs, my son could have stayed all day there and for him this is the best hotel ever!

I would have loved to park the car free, but I can't have it all, can I! Managed to park along the parking strips on the road

Room is spacious, could do with newer carpets though. Beds are very comfortable, toiletries are provided. Including a shower cap would have been nice.

Overall I would rate this hotel outstanding, this hotel made our holiday a very enjoyable one. I would definitely love to come back very soon.

Well done, please keep it up as am coming back soon.

We stayed this hotel 2 nights on April 2013. The location is far away from the city but the hotel is more than what we expected, The swimming pool and sauna area is very nice, not so much option on the breakfast, there is small restaurant around the hotel where you can walk and wonder around. It is close by to airport, we travelled with our car so it does not make any difference to us.

Even from the reception area, you could judge the quality of hotel. The rooms and dining areas are specious with decor. The lighting was cool and romantic. Staff is very cooperative. WIFI connectivity problem was sorted out even at 5.00 a.m. Thanks

We stayed here in August 2014 on our way back to the US. The hotel advertises that it is very close to CDG with a frequent shuttle. On the contrary, the shuttle is a disaster. We stood on the top level of the TGV station in a crowd for nearly an hour for our shuttle to arrive (Gold Line). Other shuttles came and went, multiple times. Then we discovered that the shuttle takes 30 minutes to transport you about one mile from the hotel to the airport, because of all the other stops it makes. This is a complete dealbreaker for us -- too frustrating and timewasting. In spite of having one of the fastest, efficient railways in the world, the French have never mastered the art of running shuttle services. I think it's viewed as a concession for the unwashed, not as a "moment of truth" service experience for customers. In any event, our "moment of truth" dragged on for an hour!

If you're arriving by car or taking a taxi (I don't know but I suspect that taxis at the airport may be reluctant to take you given it's only a mile away), this is a very nice hotel. The hotel is newish, clean with a wellness center that we did not have the chance to check out, and with friendly staff. We took two double bed with sofa bed rooms at a very reasonable price (online discount) and the rooms are very large. One had a California King size bed with duvet and a high end bathroom. The other had a double bed with a sofa pullout, which had considerately already been made up for my son. This was certainly a bargain.

So my rating reflects a zero for the ease of getting here on public transport and a 5 for the quality of the hotel itself.

One last thing: I noticed that some of the other shuttle buses pass quite close to this hotel. If you really are going to try the shuttle bus, I suggest doing a bit of homework and figuring out in advance which hotels are around this one. For instance the Campanile is about 2 minutes walk and the Novetel suites is at the bottom of a short hill (5 minutes walk?). Armed with this information in advance, you can look at the panel for the shuttle busses and hop one that gets you almost there.

Stayed for one night. Excellent service from reception. Room was great, very quiet and nice comfortable big bed. Would definitely stay here again if on transit. Had trouble logging internet hotel computer but accessed it through my ipad and phone using the free wifi.

We stayed here to rail into Paris to sightsee. It was a frustrating experience and I almost rated it as average, but that would not be fair. The hotel was excellent. Reasonable price and great amenities. The frustrating part was location. It took us around 75 minutes longer than it should have just to find the place. The major highway A-4 was completely closed and resulted in horrible detours to get to Roissy CDG. Finally, once in Roissy, many of the roundabouts to get to the hotel were also closed. We ended up going the wrong way on one way streets twice in order to get to the hotel. Nice place, but good luck getting there!
