I stayed for one night and had picked the hotel, so I could walk to a University department I wanted to visit the next day. The room was very small with one very narrow single bed and a small double bed. There was a console type table, a sliding type door to the bathroom and the bathroom itself with a combined kitchen/shower. No hairdryer, but there was a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee.
There were two plastic chairs. The room was very grubby with torn yellowed curtains, a badly stained electrical radiator, a second electrical radiator (it did get very cold at night, I suppose that's why there were two), and hairs and dirt everywhere on the furniture and floor.
Breakfast was a self serve buffet style and had a small choice of croissants, cakes, baguettes and jams. But the hot water dispenser for tea was empty, the hot milk for hot chocolate was luke warm. But to be fair the breakfast was ok. The staff present were not interested in clearing tables. She just hid behind the bar and smoked a cigarette although the area was non-smoking.
I suspect this is a chain that is not treating/paying it's staff very well, so this is reflected in the limited amount of cleaning/service that gets done.
I will never go there again, although I have to visit the University regularly.
