“Good hotel for the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We stayed here for a couple of nights to see Paris after our trip to Disney.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were polite however the room was smaller than other Novotels we had stayed at, beds were a little uncomfortable and we had no mirror at the dressing table which was a bit strange for my wife.
The breakfast was OK, nothing special as it was a buffet style but you don't pay for children so the price seemed ok although I might have been a little less impressed had I paid for 4 of us.
We also experienced the late breakfast in the bar area and it was fine; - tea, coffee, croissants etc and again you don't pay for the children.
The evening menu wasn't much to write home about and for vegetarians (like us) it is was poor but most of Paris is like this.
Overall we found it too be a good base to explore Paris and was close to a big shopping centre so good for the wife and children to spend my money.

ok, that is not a Novotel like the others, that is my 3rd time at the hotel, only because is not far from Paris and from Disney, with kids is a good option, but i had a surprise when i see the room.....no have nothing more than water at the minibar, the hotel do not have nothing at the minibar, i never see this at the Novotel, the staff said that they could not have control about the last day of the guests....unbelivebel....so, they finished with the mini bar......and in one day the kitchen in a thursday night at 20:30 do not working for room service, the accor need to do something in this Novotel or change the name of this for Ibis Styles, it is not a Novotel.

Room Tip: at the highest floor as possible and at the end of the hall.

Located at the surrounding of Paris. About 20 min by Train to the Center of Paris. Reception completely new. Rooms simply refurbished, Novotel Standard. No chance to regulate air condition/ heating. Way too hot in the room. Standard Novotel breakfast buffet. Regular price too expensive for what is offered.
Private Indoor poarking with good connection to the motorway A4.

Arrived in the hotel on 6 am in the morning after midnight drive from Lourdes.
We tried to check in on 7 am, and the staff was very helpful and we can check in in the morning.
Room was quite big with one King size bed and there's a sofa bed that can use as bed for sleep two persons.
After morning shower we went to city, by RER. one day visitor pass cost around 9 Euro.
RER station in front of the hotel around 10 minutes walking.
Also there's a shopping mall with some restaurants there.
If you came with cars, it's very convenient. Very closed to highway also to Disney Paris.
Parking outside the hotel was free but only a few space. Indoor parking cost 8-10 Euro per night.
Very recommended hotel outside the city center. If you are budget traveler, can try ibis hotel beside novotel.

Good Points:
Just returned from a stay here and must say that the only endearing feature of this hotel is its location. Being just off the motorway and on the edge of the centre ville, it's easy to find, accessible by train and car and equidistant between Paris and Disneyland.

Bad Points:
1. Understaffed
a) Reception was unattended when we arrived for at least 5 minutes.
b) On the first night my kids and I ate at the restaurant whilst we ordered room service for my wife who was tending to the baby. One waitress was expected to service about 10 tables on her own and despite her best efforts could not cope. A couple of items which we had ordered were subsequently unavailable during the course of our meal which did not help either. And at the same time our room service order was sat on the bar getting cold for half an hour or so before she was able to take this up to the room. Yes that was her responsibility too!
c) The remnants of the room service meal were left in the corridor outside the room that evening and the tray had not been collected the following morning when we left for Disneyland.
2. Unsecured Car Parking - The vehicular entrance shutter was broken (half open) and the far side pedestrian access was unlocked to the supposedly secure basement parking. This is a neighborhood that you would not want to leave your car and its contents in an unsecured area, and yet I was charged for using this facility.
3. No Window Lock - The window to our hotel room (3rd floor) swung open fully without any facility from preventing it from doing so. This was somewhat alarming given the fact that we were travelling with kids and in the UK if anyone fell from there this would result in a serious breach in health and safety and potentially a corporate manslaughter case against the hotel.
4. And finally no complimentary cuddly toy for the kids! I thought this was the Novotel way?

Overall this hotel did not live up to its 4-star credentials but if you require something cheap and cheerful with easy access to Disneyland Paris then this hotel is for you.
