“Cosy hotel & good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Convenient location and a real feeling of staying amongst the locals. The hotel rooms are clean, nicely decorated and spacious for Paris. The continental breakfast was a nice start to the day and staff were friendly and accommodating.

Location, service and cleanliness are impeccable. there are very good italian restaurants nearby and interesting bistros. The metro station is one block away and the highway to the airport is close by.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

My boyfriend and I spent five days here in August 2012 and it was perfect for what we needed. The room's where basic but comfortable and the Bathroom was almost brand new and immaculate. The rooms also have very good air conditioning systems, they are a tad noisy but not enough to cause any problems. Our room was cleaned daily and sheets and towels where changed everyday too. I couldn't fault the breakfast it finished at ten but when you're visiting Paris is is essential to be up and out early if you intend to beat the crowds. It had everything you'd expect from your standard continental breakfast. The waitress was very friendly (all be it only to those who attempted to order their hot drinks in French, it's not difficult and they really do appreciate it) as was the receptionist who was kind enough to keep our suitcases safe whilst we wandered around Paris on our last day (check out is at twelve) the receptionist spoke very good English however the waitress struggled. I could not fault the location, only a ten-fifteen minute walk up the road takes you to the very modern shopping district at La defence and straight across the street is the metro which is on the equivalent of the London central line and has very easy access to the main train stations which will take you to places such as Versailles for a very small fee. Metro tickets are very good value and so, despite being an hours walk from the Arch de triomph, the metro would take you to the champs elyeeses in ten minutes and we used the metro constantly, it's much nicer than the London underground and a lot less crowded in the summer! The hotel is surrounded by some lovely restaurants and café's. Zinc Zinc is about 10m from the front door and though it's a tad pricey it was 100% worth the cost. There is also a Gorgeous Italian restaurant (with equally Gorgeous Italian waiters), next to a very reasonably priced supermarket, just around the corner and a few other bistro's and cafe's on the same road. A very short walk up the avenue Charles de Gualle takes you to an "english pub" in which the staff where incredibly welcoming and friendly, a Japanese sushi bar, an Indian restaurant and various other shops. Opposite the hotel is a very popular cafe, Polly Magoo, it's very typically Parisian and full of 'hipsters' wearing black and drinking espresso's, if you're into being pretentious and pretending to be Parisian you'll love it, if not steer clear.

We had a fabulous holiday and next time I visit Paris I will definitely stay there again! It was faultless and a perfect base for exploring Paris! The one thing I would say is although it advertises wifi in the rooms, the connection isn't very good and the prices are extortionate if you want to use it. But apart from that it was perfect, I would recommend it to any couple who are after a romantic get away or any one who just wants to shop and explore Paris!

Very good place for a short stay in Paris. Easy to find and very near metro station. Our double room was converted to a family one by barely fitting in child bed! We couldn’t close the door to bathroom because of that and not spacious room has become really stuffed! B-fast was good with eggs to boil and some ham and cheese to put on your bread. Not exellent soundproofing so be prepared to hear your neighbours. Never turned on a TV or used Wi-Fi but they are there. Staff is helpful and English speaking. A couple of restaurants here and there at various prices and type of food. All in all modest tiny hotel which well does its job. Would recommend for a family stay.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Paris. This hotel is ideally situated, in a safe friendly area - within easy walking distance from La Defence and from the lovely walks on the Ile de Puteaux and Bois de Boulogne. Easy to get to from the airport.
When we arrived we found that we had been allocated a double bed, and the hotel was full but ... no problem! They put an extra bed in for us. How peasant and helpful all the staff were!
Breakfasts good, everywhere was spotless and we had a separate toilet from the bathroom - very useful when sharing.
I agree with a previous reviewer - it far exceeded my expectations for a 2 star hotel and I hope to make it my regular place to stay for my weekends in Paris.

After a 2 weeks holiday in this hotel, I strongly recomanded you for all the mainly reasons: very good price, a central position (3 minutes to M1 ligne station), a quietly Paris corner, a very good breakfast, and not at last a realy friendly staff.

This lovely hotel, close to the metro station and in a safe/quiet neighbourhood, made our three-day stay in Paris even more special. It's very good value for money and the room we stayed in had an efficient air conditioning system and a small balcony over a quiet street. It's also within a very manageable distance of the city centre. We were also impressed by the staff who were generally quite helpful. On the whole, this hotel exceeded our expectations and we look forward to a return visit!
