“Good location, nice clean hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Got a last minute deal and stayed here for 2 nights with a friend whilst visiting Paris. Location is good - safe neighbourhood, only 10mins walk from the Metro/RER and then only 10mins into centre of paris.
On arrival told they don't have twin rooms (despite having booked one!). We had to use the sofa bed which meant that there was no room at all. With the sofa bed up we couldn't even open the door onto the balcony.
That being said, the room was clean and had all the modern facilities you would expect. The breakfasts were very good and plentiful.
I would certainly stay here again as long as we got the same good value rate!

Arrived hotel on the 26th of August,2012 with my wife and children. Our first shock was that the 2 bedroom apartment we booked for was not available. We were helplessly squizzed into 2 separate one room/studio rooms. The reason we were given was that their rooms have been over booked. The rooms were so small, especially the bedroom, I could not kneel by the bed to say my prayers because of the smallness. What they call a kitchen was nothing but the passage between the entrance door and the room, so if you are in the so called kitchen nobody can pass through from the entrance door to the room except you leave there. Shocker number two: cooker stove was not working; shocker number three: we could not have access to electric iron for 3 days after our arrival, and the reason they rudely gave us all the time, was that all the irons are with other guests. A four star hotel could not afford ordinary electric iron for each of their rooms. This aparthotel does not have a gym nor swimming pool....... Waooooh! Yet someone rates it a four star? Anyone that qualifies it as a four star aparthotel does so mainly to deceive and cheat people who do reservations online on simple trust. It's high time hotel search agencies stop deceiving people with over bloated ratings to cun potential patronage. This aparthotel is nothing more than a 2 star rating. John Deby.

My room was equipped with cooking facility. Everything in the room was ok except there was one thing i didn't really understand. There got 2 layers of curtain, day (transparent) & night curtain but i'm wondering why the night curtain (thick one) only cover half of the window. Perhap any interior designer can answer this question. I felt a bit of 'unsecure' when lie on bed or do changing. Anyway this wasn't really an issue. The bathroom was very clean and there was nothing negative to mention about. The breakfast area was pretty small. Unless you have plenty of time to wait, they accept guests request to take away coffee so we can have breakfast in the room.

For mobile internet connection, i visited Orange (local telco) to get a sim card costed Euro15 valid for 7 days (unlimited internet usage and came with free Euro5 worth of value to make call). i find it very useful instead of using my international roaming service which may cost a bomb.

As it was raining days, i went Galeries Lafayette for shopping. Unfortunately the shopping mall was 'flooded' with noisy tourist and peope just squatting everywhere, throwing their LV, Prada shopping bag on the dirty floor or seating on staircase. If you like me who wanna avoid making your buying experience a disgusting one, you can go Printemp. You still can do the 12% tax refund on ground floor.

For those who wanna buy Rolex, i found this lady (Jocelyn許, who speak Cantonese) at Rolex Galeries Lafayette Haussmann very professional and helpful. We brought 2 Rolex from her & i'll definitely buy from her again next time. Call the outlet to check the availability for the particular model to avoid disappointment.

Although the shopping mall closed at 8pm, the cafe was closing at 7pm which you basically difficult to buy a variety of food after 6.45pm. So make sure don't shop till forget timing & better have early dinner.

We were slightly concerned about this place because of some of the negative reviews but we needn't have been. Overall, it was brilliant.

Our party included my wife, my 16 month old daughter and myself.

We chose a double room with single sofa bed, and asked for a cot (lit d'enfant avec cotes.) which they provided free of charge. We arranged this by email and phone prior to our arrival, and found the staff very helpful at arranging this.

The hotel was quite hard to find because of the one way systems around La Defense. But it was only about 15 mins of drivinign around, so no dramas.

On arrival the receptionist, Simon, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He offered a twin room to us because it was apparently more spacious but we wanted the double and as we werent planning to use the single sofa bed this seemed the best option. And so it turned out to be.

We paid 30 euros for parking from 7pm Friday night until 7pm Sunday night. So we picked the car up after check out - no problem. You just drive the car out of the car park and the automatic sensors open the door so there is no need for a security pass on the way out.

The room was easily big enough for the 3 of us, and the balcony provided a great place to eat dinner and breakfast. We had read some unhappy reviews about the restaurant so we decided to save our money and buy breakfast from the boulangerie instead. I recommend doing this because its much cheaper and less hassle, and of course you cant beat freshly cooked french bread and croissants. The boulangerie is only a 5 minute walk across Parc du Millenaire. If you want jam and butter, there is a corner shop with loads of stock directly opposite the hotel.

The kitchenette had a fridge, dishwasher, a microwave (ideal for baby bottles) and two hobs. All the utensils you could need (inclining a bottle opener, frying pan, colander and saucepan) and a few washing tablets for the dishwasher. There was no washing detergent or scrubbing brush for the sink though. The bedroom itself had nice modern furniture with a flat screen TV and there is also free wifi.Cant complain!

Its a 10 minute walk to the Metro at La Defense, Grande Arche, and from there it is 5 stops (10 mins) to the arc du triomphe, and about another 10 mins to Notre Damme. So a very good location.

Only small downsides (which are hardly worth mentioning) were the surfaces on the balcony could have been a bit cleaner (quite dusty) and the fold down double bed had a slight incline on it so that the pillow end was slightly lower than the feet end.

We placed the cot in the kitchenette which seemed to provide no problems for our daughter to sleep, and also left enough room for us to get through to the toilet.

I would definitely go back to Residhome and I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. Hope this is useful.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 218 which is on the end of a corridor. Because of the shape of the building I thin...

Assuming expectations in general for hotel can be suitably lowered when one comes to Paris, this apartment hotel actually is not a bad choice. It has a good location, about 10 minutes walk to La Defense Metro and CNIT, and it is in a good and safe neighborhood. A supermarket is just one building away, and other facilities are nearby. The hotel parking facility is also helpful as one can bring the car in and out with a daily fixed price. However on the minus side, the hotel is not maintain very well. Some windows in the room don't close properly, and the self-help laundry facilities break down often. Most times, at least one of the two elevators didn't work, making it difficult to go up and down from lobby to hotel rooms. For long staying guests, the room cleaning schedule is also puzzling, and sometimes they don't come to clean the room for a straight 4 or 5 days.

I had such a wonderful time staying here. It was me and my partner and we loved it. It was so close to the train station and just across the road from a local shop and even starbucks! Such a nice area and the staff here are so helpful. I would certainly go back here to stay. I miss it already. Me and my partner are in our early 20s and would highly recommend it to any young couples simply because of the easy location and how romantic it feels! I really enjoyed my Parisian experience thanks to Residhome Parc du Millenaire, BUT, one word of advice.. do not catch a taxi here, get on the train (RER A) to Chatelet les Halles and then onto the red line, its much cheaper and 5 mins away from the hotel. We ended up spending 60 euros! Hope this has been helpful!

Our group arrived at the hotel 3 hours later than expected only to find our rooms weren't ready. When we finally got to our room our keycard wouldn't work. My husband went to reception whilst I waited with our luggage in the corridor. The 2nd card didn't work, neither did the 3rd. A nice man who I presume to be one of the managers let me into the room so I didn't have to sit on the floor whilst my husband was going back and forth. We phoned reception to get someone sent up to look at the door swiper but no one came. We went out to dinner and were told it would be fixed by the time we came back - it wasn't. When we returned from dinner we were let into our room by a staff member with a master key and when I asked what would we do if we needed to go out again the employee replied "ask us at reception to let you in again". Very inconvenient and unacceptable.

Staff were friendly and apologetic the whole time but did absolutely nothing to get it fixed.
The next morning we fiddled around with the privacy knob ourselves and it seemed to fix the problem. In total we spoke to at least 4 different people at reception and all they did was issue yet another card (5 in total) even though we stressed the problem must be to do with the door swiper not the cards. They seemed to think we weren't operating the card properly and also didn't seem to believe us when we said our wi-fi card was missing from our desk.

The room was nice and it was very clean but the fold up bed takes up too much space and the corner of the bed is nasty on shins if you aren't careful (this was the same for the other rooms we saw). Some of our kitchen appliances weren't working. We probably should have reported this but being exhausted from our travels and given the hassle we had with something as simple as getting our door fixed - we didn't bother. Apologies to whomever is unlucky enough to get allocated this room in future.

The restaurant was too small for the amount of people staying in the hotel - it was overcrowded and you would lose your seat if you both got up at once. There wasn't a lot of food choices and there didn't seem to be enough to cater to the amount of guests. However the female Maitre'd on the door was very welcoming and friendly.
