This hotel is located at 30 minutes away from CDG 2 by cab. The location is great if you want to go to Paris business and tourist districts. The subway station is just at 5 minutes walk away. The station is called Gallieni (or Port of Gallieni) on Metro path 3. The reception is slow when it comes to check in and out. We were supposed to check in at noon and there was not any room available for us because of some cleaning going on. It took at least 30 minutes to get that done. The room itself was correct for the price except that the AC was not really working and you cannot open the window either. Thank god that was early spring. It seems that they set their own temperature regardless of how you may change temperature settings using your room thermostat. It won’t get cooler. Another detail in our room, there was only one bedsheet and a comforter, so you sleep on the unique bedsheet and you cover yourself with the comforter that was annoying.

Internet is not free even in common area such as lobby and restaurant. That is weird because the same Accor group offers free wireless in different countries so why not in France its home country.

The buffet was very generic to this type of chain. Obviously, they had some difficulties to turn the tables in a more efficient manner since this hotel was full during our stay. You have to wait to get some clean glasses and silverware at a certain given time but not too long. There was enough food for everyone. Some of the dishes needed to be rewashed, it seemed that a better internal control could improve this issue. I forgot to report that they overcharged me 60 euros. I don’t know if that was because I made a firm reservation at the front that denied me the right to cancel once I reserved online, but they reimbursed me when I checked out without paying the interest of course. I did bring this issue to their attention when I checked in.

The hotel is not bad comparing with others in Europe. The room is clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast is standard with ham, scrabbled eggs, bread, pastries, tea or coffee. The overall environment is nice.

The room was amazing - huge amount of space with a queen bed and sofa bed for a single guest, and clean.

Outside was a large variety of shops - food and neccesities like basic clothes

Not in an upperclass suburb but i felt in no way threatened outside at night - the people who say it is a bad neighbourhood obviously come from upperclass neighbourhoods and think that because the people are not rich they will attack/rob/kill you. They are just average people in an average suburb.

The train station is very close and the system is easy to use, for access to the whole of Paris.

The lobby will keep you and the kids entertained if you arrive to early for check in, with xbox, TV and such.

good value available on novotel website. hotel is close to galleni metro station at the end of line 3. the area surrounding the hotel is depressing, there is nothing to do and no reason to stay there any longer than strictly necessary. the rooms are large and comfortable, limited selection of tv channels, lobby is large and well furnished in contemporary style. chief guy on the desk was professional and accommodating, others not necessarily as good
