“Mmmm, Cheesecake.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This really is a lovely place, good views with the light evenings too. Good space between tables. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is really good and reasonable value. To be honest if I want a good night out with guaranteed food, I go here. And as for the cheesecake... that's just out of this world even if it does make you drool thinking about it! ;o)

“Worth a visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Staff friendly and polite. Went mid-week and had the fixed menu which was presented very nicely. Tasty and worth the money.

“Strange arrangement of ingredients....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Visited on the 16th April for lunch.... Led to our table by an extremely tangoed waitress with a new twist on staff uniform.... My husband ordered the Dudsbdury burger which he was pleased with and I ordered the sticky beef combo. The sauce was overpowering and cold noodles accompanied them with a portion of chips and cold prawns..... This was obviously a trendy concoction which honestly does not harmonise correctly. I think on a whole people like a menu which they can understand consisting of good tasty fare.... So disappointing, don't think we will be returning....

“Would definitely recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal with friends and the food as always - excellent. This is one place I would definitely recommend. Will have to go back again because I would like to try "everything" on the menu!! The food is very well presented, and the place has a lovely atmosphere, as well as the staff being friendly and very helpful.

“Consistently good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Enjoyed a family lunch last Saturday @ The Dudsbury - as ever, excellent food and service. Most had 'small' baked camembert starter - could be shared betwen 2 - and 1 = garlic mushrooms, all happy bunnies! Following had: 2 x linguine (the only slightly suspect dish as linguine was rather overcooked) with artichoke heart & sundried tomato, 2 x pork chops (generous size, well cooked), 1 x belly pork (super crackling!), 1 x special Dudsbury burger (always a good choice) & 1 x ham, egg & chips (again, just perfect). Only 2 of us managed pudding - 2 x steamed toffee, again excellent. The presentation, service etc were beyond reproach, as is the view, one of the few establishments locally to be able to offer this facility. Good local ales on tap too. It's not the cheapest around but you tend to get what you pay for and this one's well worth the extra pennies.
