Once in a great long while you get a combination of flawless service in a beautiful setting with food worth every penny and a certain peace descends...
Each of the three rooms that make up this restaurant are beautifully appointed and comfortably intimate although each is different. One would be "relaxed" the next "informal" and the most plush; "formal". The wait staff wear suit and tie regardless and are low-key while attentive.
The menu offers many options but be prepared to pay for the quality and presentation of the food no matter what you decide. The wine and liquor list is extensive and impressive. I have been to one other restaurant( in Philadelphia) with a longer, more impressive list.
Duck and goose livers are a menu highlight as well as various fish. Forgo the cheese plate as the cheeses are best elsewhere but try an Armagnac; available by the year or blended. First time
tasters are best off with year of birth, beyond that go straight to 1930.
