“Charming hotel, good restaurant and perfect service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We stayed here one night on a trip from the south of France to the Netherlands and had dinner at the gastronomic restaurant.
The restaurant: we took the Menu Degustation, which was really good, but not really surprising, which is something we expect from a 3 star restaurant. Note that you can have 3 or 4 plates, as you want. Interesting option considering the really copious amount of delicious "amuses bouches" you get, especially when you start with an aperitif in the bar.
The hotel: nice clean room with complementary mini-bar and WiFi. As it's an old building the rooms are not very well isolated so you might hear some noise from fellow visitors.
The service: was excellent at both the hotel and the restaurant.

“Excellent place to stay, extraordinary place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

In a nutshell:
PROS:
- awesome food and excellent hotel
- service was perfect both in the hotel and the restaurant
CONS:
- as I need to write something here, I would say that the valet parking charged 19 euros in a town where you can park anywhere seems a bit overpriced

Would I go back there again?
Yes, I definitely hope so!

Here is why:
HOTEL : relais et chateau and 4* (5* for international standards)
We had a basic room and it was very nice but also simple (120 euros for the room plus 25 euros for breakfast per person). Size was average with a big bathroom all covered with marble and separate toilet. The mini bar is complementary and some chocolates wait for you in the room when you arrive.
The service in the hotel was flawless and the staff extremely helpful to advise you what to visit in the neighborhood.

RESTAURANT: 3* Michelin:
On our back from Lyon to Dijon, we decided to pass our way from Bocuse and the Freres Blanc restaurants to give a try to Lameloise's cuisine. I must say that it was a great idea. Everything from the aperitif to the after dessert chocolates was perfect. Wine selection was great, service was perfect and the dishes were as beautiful to see as good to eat.

All 7 stars are well deserved in Lameloise.

“Very good, but mechanically so”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

There's no doubt this is a first-rate place. For example the goodies provided with the aperitifs were a meal in themselves, and you could say the same about the amuse bouches. The main dishes themselves, however, suffered from that feature of so many high-class restaurants: they felt tired and over-cooked. Service was good, but there were a couple of lapses, such as being left without any wine for most of the first course; neither did we appreciate a very warty hand on one waiter! But all this was balanced out by the friendliness of the staff, and by the reasonableness of the bill. Would return.

“Excellent food with an amazing service”

Everything apart from Mullet (fish course) we all thought the sauce did not complement the fish which was superb on its own

“Outstanding Experience!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

My friends, my wife and I had lunch on Monday 23rd July. We were very excited to be having lunch as we had read and heard a great many good things about the restaurant and let me just say on behalf of us all that we were NOT disappointed.
The food was superb and the service was WITHOUT PEER!! We had the set lunch accompanied by wine and the attention we received from the staff, especially from Yannick, was flawless. If passing through Burgundy this is an experience not to be missed.
