My fault, I guess I'm used to cheap hotels in other countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal...). There, cheap means it's not fancy. Apparently, in France, going for cheap, means you'll get a 10m2 room (check the pics), with fake walls that let the noise from the highroad and the electric station nearby in the whole night. The bathroom was clean, the rest of the floor, not that much. We could leave the room at noon, but the cleaning lady opened the door, without ringing or anything, at 8,30 (I just left the shower and was half naked). We took the all-you-can-eat breakfast for 4,80 euro per person. Bad idea. It was "all the cereals (2 kinds), bread (4 kinds), butter and jam you could eat". Since I hate eating sweet things in the morning, I was expecting to have some ham (or salmon or eggs or tomatoes) but there was none. Good point for them, all the things the offered for breakfast were well konwn brands (kellogg's cereals, president butter, andros jam, harry's bread).
On the good side, people at the reception were really nice to us and we got a discount card to eat at the campanile restaurant (we didn't go there for we preferred to have dinner downtown).
